Many here may remember the past health issues with my grandad over the years and how he and my grandmother were moved from Hobbs to Pflugerville to an assisted living home after his heart attack a few years ago, well he's not doing to well right now. Kidney stones and lungs filling with fluid are just part of his health issues right now.
Grandma said friday when I called her to wish her a happy birthday and she said he's ready to go.

He's 95 1/2 yrs old and has had a full and rewarding life, but I pray for his healing then I feel selfish for wanting him to be around longer when he may be tired and too weak to fight illness anylonge and is ready to pass onto a new life..

Please keep our family in your prayers if you can find the time. This is hard because I want him well because I love him and want him around for years to come but I also want him to be happy and not suffering so if he's ready to be with God then I want him to be at peace.

Thanks.

not selfish at all for you to want him to be well and in your life for years to come. Hopes and thoughts are with you and him that he gets well, and enjoys more years with you and the rest of the family.

My Dad was 95 when he passed this year. I wasn't ready to let him go. He was very clear that he was ready. He had outlived 9 of his 14 children.
I will pray for you and your GranDad.

Thanks guys.

Grandad needs more test but he's so weak and it's a barium enama (sp) and they are not sure if he can take it right now because there is a lot of prep things that have to be done so they will wait, they are thinking he could have colon cancer

they gave him meds for pain for his kidney stone and his lower ab pain and antibiotics and things for the fluid in his lungs. Mom and sis said he's weak and pale yet his mind is still sharp when he's awake.

I got this email from my sister.

Granddad’s health is continuing to fail. At this moment my parents have him in the emergency room hoping to have him admitted. It seems he may have suffered a heart attack this week, His lower abdomen is really causing him major discomfort. He has been using two morphine patches a day and taking oral pain pills. He also has a touch of pneumonia. He has been on antibiotics since Monday. He started running a fever on Wednesday so the doctor had the staff keeping a close eye on him at the home. Grandma called my Mom this morning and said Granddad is really bad today. So please pray for him so that he is out of pain and on the road to recovery soon. He has been really tired and losing weight. I am very worried about him. He has had rough patches in the past but this one is a little rougher than we have had to deal with in the past couple of years.

Thanks again for prayers.

My grandad was cheering for the Horns and doing the "Hook'em" from his hospital bed. My Aunt was there with him I called when we were up 42 to zip to give him an udate and he was watching the game and doing pretty well from what my Aunt said. This is good news.

Thanks guys.

My grandad is back at an assited living place in Pflugerville, where they first lived when they move to the area.
He was well enought to head to my brothers for a family Thanksgiving.

I wish I was there but hubby likes one holiday at home even though it's collie station.

Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers.
