...was in Austin, 2002, and it was Texas vs. Houston. Houston took the Friday game 2-0; Texas came back and clobbered them on Saturday 17-2; Texas took the third game 5-2, and went on to beat Rice, Stanford (twice) and South Carolina for the National Championship.

Praying for a pattern.

Not to start a new thread... add this here.... reminder as the big night came to a close out west and the Super Regionals got put in place...

The southeastern conference put 10 teams in the regionals... they batted .500 on opening games... 5-5

In the end, only 2 teams advanced.

The BIG 12 placed 5 teams in the regionals. FOUR of them will advance to the upcoming Super Regionals, leading all conferences in the nation.

Oh, one other thing... the State of Texas

leads the nation with the most teams from a state, in the Super Regionals, with FOUR. Texas, Texas Tech, TCU, Houston.

And with The University of Texas

being the Flagship University in the Great State of Texas

that just makes things all the sweeter.

I am invoking the ancient "Delete Post, Ban User" mojo for cnstoll. At least until Monday..

Stoll, that song doesn't get sung till its time, and it ain't time yet! Don't tempt the baseball gods!
