Things have been moving at a rapid pace since my last post - that is good news for my dad!
The arterial embolization was performed on Tuesday morning on the tumor infested kidney and was declared a success.
Prior to the procedure, the doctor told us the worse my dad felt the better the embolization. Both my dad and the doctor agreed - mission accomplished based upon how he felt the first 48 hours. It was very painful - basically the tumor was screaming for food and oxygen and my dad's body was battling it and saying no way! Hopefully, now the other tumors will also suffer because their main communicator has been eliminated.
We were released from the hospital yesterday(Friday) - YEAH! My dad still has some pain and fever, but both are at a level that can be managed at home.
The last week of June and the 1st week of July will be busy with doctor consultations for follow-up MRI's and to determine the next chemo protocol.
Again, thanks so much for all of your positive thoughts and prayers and helping us deal with this battle head-on.
