Mutual Respect

The twitter feed for AF baseball is really good. Likewise for the Texas focused feeds as well. Lot's of mutual respect which is so often lacking in sports today. Looking forward to seeing AF in Austin again next April, would be good to return the trip to Colorado Springs sometime soon too. We talked to a number of AF parents and fans at all the games and all of them were blown away by how well they had been treated and how much they enjoyed our fans, the environment and just Austin in general with many of them making their first trip here.

That twitter feed is great, HomeBrew, thanks for the link. Once A&M left the conference, I always thought a cool solution to our annual Thanksgiving football game would have been to try to schedule the military academies (on a rotational basis) for that game.

Very proud of my alma mater for competing hard and ending with class. Texas was clearly the better team, but USAFA earned their way to play Texas in the finals of the Regional. I was actually in Colorado Springs this past weekend - heard nothing but praise for the series, praise for USAFA competing hard and praise for an excellent Texas team in winning the Regional.

They did produce more WWII generals than any other school including West Point.

Teddy Roosevelt, Jr. earned the CMH on the beaches of Normandy.
