Another new pitcher for Mizzou, lefty Jeff Scardino. Loy bunts foul with two strikes. Counts as a strikeout swinging. Shepherd K's looking. Keyes flies out. Going to the bottom of the ninth. Horns up 5-2. Three outs to go for win #44.
 
Winning pitcher Jungmann 6-2. Save Ruffin #13. All five Texas runs scored with two outs. Jungmann strikes out 9, Ruffin strikes out 6 (in two innings).
 
For those keeping score at home. Your University of Texas Longhorns have now set the standard for a 10-Team Leaue final record at no LESS than 22 wins in a season. Tomorrow, if they should be fortunate and scratch kitty again, they will tie the all-time record of 23 wins set by a couple squads back when everyone had to play Iowa State.

IF they should happen to catch ligthnin' in a bottle and sweep kitty, your University of Texas Longhorns will BE the Joneses with 24 B12 wins in a season.

Nice to have something to look forward to in an end-of-the-year series when your boys had already wrapped the Division Title a couple weeks ago.

planning on going to Austin for the first weekend of regionals--yes, I was there for the 25 inning affair last yr vs BC--got my cooler stolen sometime around the 11 or 12th inning, those basterds!! my son (now 11 yrs old) left after 21 innings and was upset that I wouldn't let him purchase the t-shirt that said "I saw the whole game"-he got the version that said "Everything is Bigger in Texas" ---regardless, looking forwards to another good times at the Disch June4th--

Did anybody have the guts to expect that we would proceed to do a 26-1 when we were 18-7 in the season? I expected it, but just forgot to come and post it here; that is all
