For a century we have lived with the after-effects of Sykes-Picot Agreement, 1916; and Balfour Agreement, 1917. Twenty years ago I did not know about either one of them. They were not routinely taught in the schools, no emphasis on them I can recall in college unless you knew to seek them out. So it's the Ben Franklin approach... pursue it on your own time.
