Chop, it doesn't mean that tornado activity has decreased in the traditional "Tornado Alley." There is now a "Dixie Alley" that runs through the Gulf Coast states, mainly in the early Spring. Unfortunately, these storms, fed by warm water from the Gulf, can tend to spawn long-track EF-4 and -5 tornados - apparently that's the case for the current storms. We all need to pray for these folks as they rebuild from the severe damage.
