Chop, it doesn't mean that tornado activity has decreased in the traditional "Tornado Alley." There is now a "Dixie Alley" that runs through the Gulf Coast states, mainly in the early Spring. Unfortunately, these storms, fed by warm water from the Gulf, can tend to spawn long-track EF-4 and -5 tornados - apparently that's the case for the current storms. We all need to pray for these folks as they rebuild from the severe damage.Tornado Alley seems to have shifted to the East by a few states in recent years.
