Minn/UT Game Thread

Looks like we're playing Duke, provided they beat the Binghamton Bearcats.

My Mom grew up in Binghamton and lives there again. It is her dream matchup.

Good win. It was "just" Minnesota, but I'll take it.

Now, if we could only get G.J. and D.J. to pull their heads out of their asses, we just might give the Dookies a run for their money.
 
An NC based scribe asked Coach Barnes afterward what he thought of the crowd booing him (I assume it was at some point prior to tip off) and Coach went on for a while saying that he heard no booing.

He asked the questioner where and when and if anyone else heard it and then asked the guy if he had a question or not.

I can't wait to see what the crowd reaction is to us next game.

Do folks really think some locals might pull for us over Duke?

I think it will be more like a crowd at G. Rollie White-without the mutt.
 
Their intense dislike of Barnes notwithstanding, any Tarheels present will enthusiastically root for Texas--for ANYONE--to beat Duke.
 
Hey, I'm a happy dude. There's lots of games where those 3's don't go down and teams realize they can full court press our guards. Horns did great. Here's to them sneaking up on the Devils.

Happy to see/hear Ward getting props this evening. I've been thinking for past 6 weeks that he could make a difference in his play. And hoping he might start or at least be on the floor early and often.

Lately, not sure why, I'm nervous about the charging fouls Gary and Damian keep picking up. Is that just weird karma, or what?
 
Connor played better tonight. Setting screens, rebounding, etc. Ward was the best suprise. We need him on the court playing like that. He does a little bit of everything....plays defense, rebounds, shoots, scores, passes the rock, etc. He may be the guy we have been looking for all season.
