Who do you think does the lower level supervision of entry level employees in a big box retailer? A fast food place?
If you are an area supervisor at a big box you pray for reliable people to be crew leaders or shift leaders.
If you are the owner of a fast food joint you for sure take care of anyone who can get people to work and on time because otherwise it falls on you.
I respectfully suggest you never did or have forgotten what it is like to handle entry level people
