Any names being floated yet?Aggies on the clock for new DC.
The problem is that as of now, there’s isn’t much confidence in Kwiatkowski. That can’t be a good thing. Are you watching Denver Harris ? Come on over Harold Perkins and Bryce Anderson ..

A usually source on another service intimated that defensive coaching reinforcements may be coming. Not Patterson. But who knows?Could Patterson in whatever capacity coming over to “help” change some minds ?
aggy wondering why elko would leave a program on the verge of winning a national championship to take the head coaching job at duke. Their words not mine. They never cease to amaze me![]()

Or just having a head coach who doesn't seem to be snorting ritalin.I don’t blame Elko. Maybe he missed intelligent conversation.
Here's my theory on that. With the $$$ being paid to head coaches now, landing even a mediocre position is like winning the lottery for these guys. Even if they fail, they're still financially set for life. Success as a head coach is just gravy on top which likely allows them to cash another lottery ticket.Frankly, I think Elko could have held out another year or two for a better HC offer than Duke. He’ll be bottom half ACC at Duke, year after year after year.

The counterpoint is Billy Napier who declined offers from Ole Miss, Auburn, and maybe others over the last year or two, to land at Florida—a place where he could build a big time contender. Here's my theory on that. Napier was already a head coach. He's now cashed the aforementioned next lottery ticket. The counterpoint is Billy Napier who declined offers from Ole Miss, Auburn, and maybe others over the last year or two, to land at Florida—a place where he could build a big time contender.
Yeah, but one bad season and suddenly his name is MUD (Exhibit A: see one Pete Kwiatcollapski). A bird in the hand, I guess.Happy for Elko, I guess. He’s certainly in a better place to live now. But he could have held out for so much better. His name was being mentioned for more than a few of the really good HC jobs that opened up. He’s already on the shortlist. Coaching football at Duke is like coaching football at Vanderbilt, Rice, or Kansas.
