Thanks for all the prayers and kind words. I recently heard about hornfans.com from a new friend, and the love and compassion the longhorn family shows to those in need is unmatched any where! I do have Multiple Myeloma, but I'm out of the hospital and doing alot better now. Keep the prayers comming and we'll turn this race into long distance race instead of short sprint

Oh, by the way I never ran with bells on my shoes.

As a lifelong Razorback, I can't tell you how much I enjoyed watching you play, even as a fan of a competitor.

I was glad to read that some of your teammates have set up a fund to help. That's a testament to the impact you had on those closest to you.

Best of luck, my friend.

I went to all your home games your senior year when I was a kid. Still remember them like yesterday. Keep the faith and keep fighting!

Lam you're a good man and have done the Longhorn nation very proud. You are in the hearts and prayers of so many who have had the privilege of watching you play at UT. Keep up your good spirits and we'll keep up the prayer offerings. God bless.

Oh man this is superb news. I am glad to hear that you are getting better every day. The Longhorn nation is with you every step of the way. Your photos are wonderful, can't wait for mine.

When has Lam Jones ever lost a race?

Lam - my father has had multiple myeloma for 8 years now. He's had some ups and some downs, but he is a fighter and we are helping him win this thing. Just keep a positive attitude and rely on your friends and your family to get you through this. You are in my thoughts.

God speed to you...

Saw you at the State Track meet in 1976 (?).

You took the baton 4th leg (mile relay ?) with a considerable deficit to make up.

Thirty years later, I still marvel at what you did.

Our prayers will always be with you.

Stay in touch with your fans.....we care and we want to know how you are doing.......

Lam,

You were always so nice to me when we were in school, and I was deeply touched when you gave your gold medal to the Special Olympics.

I pray daily for your continued recovery. You will be in the hearts of true Longhorns forever!

Lam, I purchased two of your tower photographs thru the Co-op for my children - both UT students - and wanted you to know they are great. I'm a cancer survivor and know you can beat this too. Best wishes and prayers.

P.S. Every time I see Donny, I remind him of the times (quite a few actually) that he overthrew the ball while you ran a deep fly. I kid him about being the only guy that could overthrow the world's fastest football player.
