Mercury Morris...

Without a championship to finish off the season, all victories are just moral victories.

The point of a season is to win a championship. Anything else is just a disappointment.

Well your job comparison failed. I am sure there are other differences between you and Mercury Morris. Including a Superbowl and an undefeated season.

You are incorrect again, when you say no one cares. The Pats cared. Many others who were claiming the Patriots at 19-0 would trump the accomplishment of the Fins... they cared.

Incorrect.

1985 Chicago Bears: 18-1 (World Champions)
1984 San Francisco 49ers 18-1 (World Champions)

Patriots don't even win this title.

It is actually not that complicated at all.

Boise State is the wookie defense. It is brought out to obscure and distract, which is what people do when they lost.

Being undefeated in the NFL and winning the Superbowl >>> not.

Being the only team to accomplish the perfect NFL season >>>>> everyone else

Being the first team to accomplish the perfect season > everyone else who matches this accomplishment in the future

anhyzer,

Actually it isn't. Just think about accomplishment where only few people have succeeded and see if you can name the first and the 12th person to repeat it.

Secondly, recognizing and respecting an accomplishment does not make me a fan. It makes me honest.

Texas Jack,

I only appear to be a battering ram, because I have eroded your foundation and blown up your lame verbal defense. You have lost.
Even if you do not get it.

Question how many teams did the 72 fins play, that had winning records?

2,

the 8-6 Giants and the 8-6 Chiefs. That's f-ed up.

It's also important to note that neither the Giants nor the Chiefs of 1972 made the playoffs. That is to say the Dolphins didn't play any playoff teams until the actual playoffs.
