Mercury Morris...

On SC after the game "We were the best ever then, and we're the best ever now!"

Even though I'm upset the Pats lost, I still hate the arrogance that is the 72 Fish

The '72 Dolphins aren't even in the top 5 of greatest NFL teams of all time. They went undefeated, you can never take that away. But the Packers of the 60s, the Steelers of the late 70s, the Cowboys of the late 70s, the 49ers of the 80s, the Cowboys of the 90s, the Pats of the 00s...all would beat that Dolphins team pretty handily.

It has become quite apparent that the most profound accomplishment of Morris' life, as far as he's concerned, occurred on a ******* football field. He should really give some thought to killing himself, which I'm assuming he could do now with a smile on his face, as his worst nightmare has now been miraculously avoided.

The '72 Dolphins own the only perfect record in NFL history. Their '72 unbeaten Super Bowl championship season is the standard by which every other team judges their season. Many have tried, many have failed. They have the right to say what they want. Period.

The year before the undefeated season, the Cowboys stomped the **** out of essentially the same Dolphins team in Super Bowl VI.

People seem to overlook that they only finished 14-0 in the regular season. Conveniently the Dolphins didn't play the two games they would have lost that year.

Good lord that sounds aggy as all get out.

I love Mercury Morris! He's right. Crazy and a media *****, but right.

So wait, they only went undefeated... because they played a weak schedule? WOW. This sounds like an SEC fan.

I guess Texas' NC undefeated season didnt count, after all the Horns didnt play in the SEC.

Even dumber was the post about having lost the year before. Well that is relevant.

Hate makes people illogical and foolish.

Pats may have more wins, but they also have more losses than the '72 dolphins.

If you can't win the Super Bowl then what is the point?
