Texas finishes 2nd in preliminary rounds (total of 3). Outside of the first 9 holes, Texas has dominated. As a top 15 team, they move in to match play, which starts on Monday. I guess the top seed gets a bye.
Okay was wrong about format. Top 15 yesterday made the cut. There is another cut today for the top 8. Starting tomorrow, the top 8 battles it out in match play. Texas currently sits at #2.
Ghim and Hall win 4&3. Scheffler AS through 16. Texas up 2-1
Beau Hossler dislocated his shoulder on 15 tee box, then chipped in from 50 ft off the green for birdie to win the hole and go 2 up with 2 to play...but he may not be able to finish.
Texas avenges it's 2015 quarterfinal loss to USC by winning 4-1. Hossler had to putt out of a sand trap and got up and down for par to win 2&1. #Guts. Hook Em Horns!!
Coach Fields said Beau Hossler is more than likely a scratch tomorrow. Which means Texas will only have 4 players and not their top seed to compete against Oregon.
Hall vs. Yi, Funk vs. Raza are Very winnable match ups for us. Beau most likely won't finish 9 holes. Scheffler will put up a fight but Wise is the clear favorite in that matchup. 2-2 with Ghim anchoring vs. Lim goin down to the wire is going to be great frigging television.
