McConnell: No real deficit deal until Obama leaves

Yes it is. Obama cannot be trusted whatsoever where matters of America's economy are concerned. The best possible course is to block EVERY economic idea he has, and to continuously send spending bills out of the house that have DEEEEP cuts and force the Senate and The One to block them.

This path will show the clear differences between those in Washington who want to consolidate economic power in the hands of the government and those who are more interested in returning it to the private sector (where it rightfully belongs).

That's great news, McBrett. Please attach the plan or a link to it. I'd love to read the details of the President's plan. Apparently the Speaker of the House would as well.

What's the point in discussing this if no matter what he says- you accuse him of lying, and no matter what he does- you will not like it or give credit to the GOP for pushing him.

His plan is pretty well understood online- oilfield you can figure out how to read about it yourself.

Oh, yeah: there isn't any.

The Link

There, I attached the republican debt plan. The president has made lot of nice speeches for the sole purpose of causing misdirection. He has spoken out of both sides of his mouth on a daily basis. Obama is out criticising the republican plan, but he doesnt have a plan of his own and he refuses to cut entitlements of any kind.

The Porkulus bill? The fact that Obama believes government control is the answer to every phase of life in America, because that's the only way to achieve his perverse notion of "fairness"??

I checked WhiteHouse.gov.

You would think that the most transparent President in history would have his plan there. I don't see it though. Probably just me though.

I don't think some people here WANT to understand how confidential negotiations are completed.

You give the details in private, you hint about them, and endorse other people's comments in public that you do support.

The GOP has a plan available online- great- it ain't getting passed. That was their starting offer. Obama has endorsed the more moderate Bi-Partisan debt commission's plans, and stated publicly he is ok slashing entitlement programs, but expects the GOP to balance this from the other half of the equation for the upper 1% only. It's fairly clear if one READS news articles.

About all you need to know about Dem fiscal responsibility is that the most fiscally responsible Dems the so called "blue dogs" Dems voted for Obamacare, not because it was fiscally responsible (they knew of course that it was fiscally irresponsible), but because they were easily pushed by Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the rest of the Dem controlled House and Senate. Is this who you trust regarding balancing a budget? Meanwhile not one Dem on this board spoke out about the recklessness of the new healthcare entitlement plan. Why should we believe that you truly care about balanced budgets now? Because you need to change course after the record losses in the last election cycle? Not good enough. Show me something tangible that you can point towards.

we are all pissing in the wind here. Name a current elected official in either party who has been a faithful steward of our tax dollars?

who we put our trust in today from either party is going to have to be a leap of faith, because basing it on previous performance is moot. They have all sucked.

I'm with Yo on this, can't trust any of them. I am to the point of why even vote, won't matter they are all cut from the same mold. Neither side will acknowledge a good idea from the other side and will flip flop to meet their needs. I don't know why any of you on here try to convince the other side that your point is correct because like politicians you have your beliefs and no matter what evidence or points are made they're just countered with rhetoric or snide remarks.

Has CBO scored his plan yet? They've scored Ryan's.

Why wouldn't the GOP trust the president to negotiate in good faith? The president who has never, in his entire career, worked across the aisle?

This president has done nothing to earn anybody's trust on fiscal matters. He has the power to reduce spending right now with executive orders. Why doesn't he?
