Mayo or Miracle Whip?

whip

and mustard

Now try this on a Sandwich... equal parts Whip (or mayo) and yellow mustard, then mix in Good Seasons Italian dressing. I promise you won't find a better spread for your sandwich.

Mayo.

I thought MW was good on baloney when I was little. I got over that.

Mayo provides the subtlest of tastes and, more importantly, that touch of moisture that a sandwich needs.

If you disagree, you are a red, ratfuck, commie bastud.

Gross to both. I have not eaten mayo on a sammich for years. Gross. I take that back, there was this cilantro/poblano mayo stuff once. It was good.

It depends on what you are making. Tuna needs mayo, but a turkey sammich needs Miracle Whip.

Needless to say, I keep both on hand.

First of all, those of you saying Miracle Whip should be aware that Kraft has changed the recipe lately so that it is more "water based" than "oil based."

Secondly:

Ingredients of Miracle Whip: Water, soybean oil, vinegar, high fructose corn syrup, sugar, modified food starch, eggs, salt, mustard flour, artificial color, potassium sorbate as a preservative, paprika, spice, natural flavor, dried garlic.

Ingredients in Hellman's Mayonaise: Soybean Oil, Whole Eggs and Egg Yolks, Water, Vinegar, Salt, Sugar, Lemon Juice, Natural Flavors

The mayo in my frig has 'high fructose corn syrup' in it...so don't dis the WHIP

Also, MW is lower in fat than Mayo and contains no trans fats

Harrrrrumph.

Ryan

The mayo in Holland is tangier than in the States, so that would put it in the middle of Mayo & Miracle Whip.

Down here, I add mustard to my mayo to give it a tang when I dip my fries in it. (Usually there is Ketchup mixed in as well. A Hat Trick of flavors!)
