Maui Invitational

Mason had perhaps his worst game ever in a burnt orange jersey. James didn't look so hot, either. *shudder*

Both should bounce back in a big way versus Our Lady.

Solid minutes from Wangmene and Johnson. Collectively, but not necessarily consistently, Texas' D is incredible.

One concern: does Dogus not have the handle/quicks to dribble penetrate? No question he can run a break, but I've yet to see him get into the lane from a halfcourt set.

Maybe he's just being conservative/tentative?

Sorry Number1, but it really is great here. We were sitting 5 rows behind the UT bench, so we had a great spot for not only watching the action, but also listening to the coaches, players, and refs. I know our offense didn't look great, but Martelli is a great coach, and his team plays solid defense. Also, who knows how the trip and the layoff affected us.

We stayed around to watch the first half of the Notre Dame game, and they looked pretty good, but they were playing what has to be the worst Indiana team of all time. They looked bad--in WARM-UPS (and I'm not just talking about their striped pants). Should be a good matchup tomorrow.

Barnes made the comment that he "can fix it" in reference to the offense and I have confidence that he will. part of that I assume is convincing James to let the game come to him instead of forcing it. Of course of utmost importance is taking care of the basketball.

This defense is solid and has the potential to be very special. That is a good foundation to build upon that will keep them in games when their shots aren't falling.
