Re-hire Beard.
Tech wouldnt take Beard back even if he worked for free. They were so arse hurt over him leaving for Texas he could be the last available coach in America & they still would not have him back. Unless you have lived around that cesspool called Lubbock and tt you cant understand how bad that school and its fan base are. I had the misfortune of growing up near there and its only gotten worse over the last 50 years!Re-hire Beard.
They have gotten some big-name coaches to go there in the past (Knight, Tuberville in FB). People out there can be rather unrealistic about the Llano...think it's the Garden of Eden. They do have a product to sell (I wouldn't buy it...again).There isn't enough money to get either Pitino or Calipari to Lubbock.
Now if Furman is calling.........
Or Wofford..............
I understand. Spending 5th and 6th grade in Brownfield, I got a taste of it.Tech wouldnt take Beard back even if he worked for free. That's what I heard. May have been Eph 6:5. Still not good.
Appearantly there's a LOT more going on than misappropriated Bible verses.
I can see how a Metroplex-raised kid would find Lubbock an up-grade.Well this Metroplex-raised kid loves Lubbock, but it ain’t for everyone.
Here's the Bible verse you cite, Leviticus 25:44-46:
44 “‘Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves.45 You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property.46 You can bequeath them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly."
Hmmmmmmmm, sounds more like an Ole Miss sort of verse, but if that's what today's Tech leadership is preaching to their athletes...
Always up to interpretation or it’s really a parable etc. Gotta love the Bible that way. If the word slave was used you really think those guys needed to go into hyper analyze mode in that setting?Just a quick note on this since it's such a controversy.
The word here could mean servant or even minister. And, in context, was about how other hebrews should not be treated as slaves. if they owed money, they could sell themselves to a person, then in the year of jubilee you'd forgive their debt and they should be released.
Likely the verse meant buying an indentured servant who owed a debt. Because the old testament says you may not steal anyone to be a slave. The type of slave is likely servant/indentured servant, which the hebrew word allows for.
Having lived in Dallas for the last 21 years - I agree. In my experience- anyone referencing “metroplex” doesn’t live in Dallas.I can see how a Metroplex-raised kid would find Lubbock an up-grade.

If you live in Dallas, Ft. Worth Highland Park, University Park, or Addison you say so. Anywhere else used to be covered by "Metroplex". However, with the world moving to North Texas, Plano, Frisco, and Irving are close to moving into the "name" group. ParkAs someone who has thankfully never lived farther north than Austin, what's the appropriate local language?

Lucky you!Sorry I didn’t follow the required protocol for identifying my original place of residence. Haven’t lived in Fort Worth in 30+ years.
I think you have to make mud with the saliva, then wash it out with water from a Biblically significant pool of water to cure blindnessMaybe he was trying to cure his blindness s a poor passer.

Preston Hollow.Do you live in Dallas proper? Or do you live in Frisco or Plano or Sachse or some other cozy hamlet in the Greater Dallas area?
