Mallett is a great young QB. Sucks for him that his coach coming in only knows how to run 1 kind of offense and that doesn't include him. I think he will do well at Arkansas but certainly this will put his development a bit behind.

Hope he does well there and I guess we will see him in 2009.

Hornpharmmd, no offense, but this is the most uniformed post I have seen re: Mallett and Petrino. I don't think you understand that Petrino is not Rodriquez. CBP's version of the power spread and RR's option spread are world's apart. All one must do is look at Brian Brohm to understand Ryan will play under center and utilize multiple motion and WR sets that is highly "pro-style" in a myriad of ways.

Should be a fun game in 2009. Hope to see you guys there.

He was saying RR is the one who only knows one kind of offense, and any time a QB transfers, the change itself naturally slows his development down a little.
