Malcolm Kelly trashes OU coaches

What I think actually happened is that MK requested he run @ the Mosier Center & OU probably said sure.
The prepared it & went about their business w/ the other players that were there training at the Everest Center, the one OU actually uses.
MK showed up ready to run at the Mosier & the scouts decided to keep everyone together & make him run on the same surface that everyone else ran on yesterday.
MK was upset because he didn't get his way & thought the OU coaches should have some veto power over what the NFL wants to do & he was forced to run on the same surface that everyone else runs on & has for the past 2 years.

Weren't most of you 0U guys talking about how Malcolm Kelly was the best receiver in the Big XII before the season started and if anyone was better it might be Adarius Bowman? But now Malcolm Kelly was always a lazy malcontent who took plays off?

I'm not accusing. I'm just pointing out.

Close your eyes and focus...can anyone imagine Mack, or anyone on this staff, putting a player with a thigh tear out on the field, while telling him it's just a bruise, thereby endangering his immediate future in the sport? No...I didn't think so. Just one more big difference between Texas, and the staff north of the Red River. Wonder if the recruits are paying any attention...

I listened to the entirety of Malcolm’s ***** session, and one thing he neglected to mention was the OU staff forcing him to scarf down all of those Double Whoppers this spring, causing his weight to soar up to 227. Malcolm did appear to be at a loss for words when the reporters kept asking him about his 4.5 time on the exact same surface two years ago.

I wasn't aware it was OU's job to either prepare MK (nor any other college athlete) for the pros nor insure he had an ideal environment to show his skills. F-em. Perhaps another year in school might have done him some good...at a minimum he could have mixed in an English class or two.

Is anybody surprised that a former ou player is calling out their S&C coach, Schmidt? When the land thieves were losing o-linemen left & right most of the fingers were being pointed directly @ Schmitty for for his psychotic ex-Marine weight room antics. I'm trying to remember the name of the o-lineman who was released & allowed to transfer (to Nebbish, I think) under one condition by Stoops; that he not say anything. Word was that Schmitty confronted him in the weight room, they got in a scuffle, & Schmitty knocked him into a stack of weights resulting in a concussion.

This thread is greatness. OU defensiveness. OU throwing aggy under the bus. A few good jokes. A little name calling. The OU staff and integrity mentioned in the same sentence with a straight face. Who says the offseason has to be dull?

he didnt trash the coaches at all, he wasnt happy about some things, but texas players have been negative a lot on texas coaches. roy williams, cedric benson come to mind and jermichael finley recentley

The really ridiculous thing about this is what the hell does it matter. He was supposed to run on astro turf but instead ran on field turf...so what. That is what fields are made of these days. If you can't run on field turf then sorry dude you just can't run that fast. What would have happend if they asked him to actually run on grass....or it hadn't been moved like a putting green.

I think the 40 time for college football players trying out for the NFL is becoming to resemble what the SAT score did for so many students trying to get into college. Too much importance is being placed on one metric and the person as a whole is not being looked at enough. The pressure of having an amazing 40 time has made guys not work out at NFL combine and then train and work out at individual team workouts or college pro days and the surfaces are all different. They either try to use this as an advantage or ir hurts them. You would think that as a receiver your pass catching abilities would be as valued as a 40 time but you don't see the reports about that. We have seen guys with great 40 times do nothing in the NFL. I just don't get it.
