Malcolm Brown

And remember, Murray would be a Heisman candidate and top 10 draft pick if he hadn't gotten injured early in his career.

Well no matter how good OUs running backs have been, they have done nothing against us the last couple of years. I am pretty sure we have out rushed them. Maybe we can tell him that.

Our offense for at least the last 2.5 years has been built around Colt, who accounted for most short, mid and long yardage plays. I don't doubt GG's abilities, but I don't think we are going to design the offense around him; not yet, anyway. On the other hand, Brown may be good enough to merit that kind of consideration, and it doesn't take as much time to develope a RB as it does the most prolific passer to ever play college ball. Our scheme shouldn't concern any kid thinking of becoming the next Earl/Ricky/Ced. To the contrary, the timing is perfect. Remember, Ced got the rock a hell of a lot and it was G. Davis calling the plays then, too.

I think we will see more home run balls with Gilbert if the line gives him time. This should open up the running game by forcing oponents out of 9 or 10 in the box.

We could always get both Green and Brown and have the combination we had when Selvin Young and Cedric Benson were both healthy at the same time.

I would say that Benson, Charles, S. Young, Taylor, et all pretty much throw out the argument of evaluation. We have recruited for our scheme the past 4 years. Plain and simple. Now the scheme is changing.

When it's guys like Brown, Green, and Sims, the scheme matters less. These guys are good enough to defy the scheme altogether...or even have it built AROUND their skill sets.

I'm with you Texas Jack.... I live in San Antonio and I've always thought Aaron Green was better than Brown. We'll see who stands out more next fall...

Should we send Simms to his house? I kid, I kid. That was too easy.

Maybe this young man likes to test drive Lexus SUV's for months?
