do you have a sourse/ link reporting that Mcdonalds does not accept SNAP
I thought I have seen signs that say they do in some places
but I could be wrong
so a link?


edit to add a link that shows in fact fast food and resturants CAN accept SNAP, according to the USDA
of course it is only supposed to only be used by elderly disabled and homeless

which means EVERYONE since who is going to ask if someone is homeless or disabled or elderly

It looks like fast food places in California, Arizona, Forida, and Michigan are trying to get in the game. If you scroll down, you can see which chains are looking to get in on the action. Golden Corral in Arizona would be hilarious for the public backlash. This article is from 2011, so it would be interesting to see if somebody can find an update.

Edit to add that if this is really going on in those four states, its because of corporate interests not poor people. When will republicans figure out that business big shots are playing them? Bob Perry is probably laughing in his grave.

I might be wrong, but I thought I saw several news articles/stories where SNAP participants could get cash off of an EBT card. Am I wrong?

You are correct but it is TANF ( temporary assistance for needy families) that gives them access to cash off their EBT
NOT to be confused with the monetary value of SNAP which can only be used at grocery stores convenience stores fast food and restaurants.

and TANF depending on the state stretches the meaning of the word temporary.

TANF is a much more abused program. I have some issues with SNAP, but there are a lot of people using the program as intended. Just handing people the equivalent of cash to spend on whatever is unacceptable.

If instead of wholesale hand outs of benefits with little oversight we put some of the money into policing these programs we could save enough to really help the ones who truly need help
BUT when a single female can have children free, get WIC, SNAP, medical , including dental for the kids, free breakfast lunch and after school snacks, free ' back to school clothes and supplies reduced or free housing,TANF(for 5 YEARS) AND thousands in EITC what incentive do the fathers of the children have to take responsibility?
what incentive do the Mothers have to work?

That is just one example of legal abuse but it should be curtailed.
the illegal abuse costs us hundreds of millions and takes away money that could be used on people who really need it.
