I may have you all beat. I present to you, the Renault Caravelle, about a 1963 model.
This car had an electric system that made British Lucas electrics seem downright reliable. The starter motor and wiper motor would go out regularly. The only redeeming feature was its weight was so light, I could push it myself with the key on, jump in and pop the clutch to get it started. Lots of fun, especially when on a date.
At high school graduation, a huge thunderstorm struck right in the middle of the class orators speech, and the entire ceremony was switched from the football stadium to the high school auditorium a few miles away. I ran to the Renault, got it started somehow, and tried to drive to the school, but the wipers did not work, and it was pouring so hard the only way I could see was to stick my head out the window. I did reach the school, resembling the proverbial drowned rat, and acquired the diploma.
