LSU Series

Everytime one of our pitchers takes the mound inheriting runners, they always give up those runs. That has to change.

and belyeu makes a play in shallow CF, Gasparino would not have gotten to it. Belyeu has some range. To the bottom of the 7th. Down 6-0 with Schuessler, Belyeu, and Borba due up.

Now just imagine if Schuessler had been batting behind Powell where he should be? We would likely have 2 runs or more right now. Different ball game. This is why the lineup matters.

Pretty good barometer for Pierce this weekend. He has a ways to catch up to the LSU coach, who is in his third season now at LSU.

and i think it's a wild pitch, advances the runners up one base. runners on 2nd and 3rd and Pierce goes to the mound.

ground ball hit to Powell for the put out. bottom of the 8th and we are in about as good a position as could be, Kennedy, Gasparino and Thomas and all are due. Let's see if we can't put something together here.

and ground ball for Powell. 3 up, 3 down. Going to be a tall order to ask the middle of the lineup to come up with 5 runs with only three outs left in the game and Duplantier coming to the mound.
