LSU fans....

I am going to be contrary here, but is it possible that on the LSU board they are bitching about Texas fans, our arrogance, and going on and on about ESPN's Texas bias.

In the past years i have read on here that Aggies are the worst. Then, later, it was Tech fans that were the worst. Then it was Ohio State fans suck. And that OU fans were insufferable. After awhile, you just tune it out, when the mantra is that everyone's fan base is just terrible.

I can't comment personally on LSU fans at this years CWS, but from what i have seen, they are fans, they root for their team, just like we do.

I love Texas, graduated from Texas, and support the school with fervor, but we need to get over the "we are better than everyone else" tone that seems to exude from our loyal, fantastic, extremely supportive fanbase.

I don't know, maybe i enjoy being contrary when everyone is jumping on the bandwagon to bash another school. The bashing seems aggy to me.
 
Absolutely nothing good about lsu...they cheat to get good texas kids to play ball there; the school is nothing as far as academics go; and their fans are just trash.

they are a rough lot in the mold of the Ohio State crowds that hagn around the horseshoe before and after the games.

I work in downtown Houston, and usually go into the tunnels at lunch.

Yesterday, it seemed to be wall to wall LSU fans all decked out in LSU polos.

Not a single one today.
 
Having lived here in Baton Rouge for the last 16 years, I can honestly say I have not been around any really obnoxious fans. The guys (and MD's) I work with know I am a Texas fan and we enjoy a lot of good natured ribbing. I also admit to a certain amount of likeability for LSU; however, as a Native Texan, no one will ever take the place of the Longhorns. I ate my share of crap Tuesday, they ate their share today, so it's all good.

Here's to a good game tonight with the 'Horns assuming their rightful place in the college baseball world.

They are loud and obnoxious but also fun to hang out with. And after watching the game at Rosenblatt last night, they really know how to transform the atmosphere of the ball park.

It's fine to be a supporter and proud of your team. Hell, I'm as big a Longhorn fan as anyone, and a lot of LSU fans are fun loving and happy partyers. However, some of them that you see at the football and baseball games are over the top. They seem to be especially overly obnoxious at the CWS this year and are very cocky and think that the championship is their right.

It doesn't help that ESPN seems to be favoring them with all of the *** kissing they're doing to LSU. I'd love nothing more than to see the Horns bring home NC#7 and shut those obnoxious, self entitled Tiger jackass fans up!

What hurts so bad about losing this series and the NC to LSU is that game three never should have been played. Texas outplayed LSU in the first two games and absolutely GAVE AWAY game one. It hurts to lose like this. I'll give LSU credit, they outplayed us in game three, but Texas outplayed LSU in games one and two and like I said, it should have been over after the first two games and game three should have never happened.

That's on Texas for not closing LSU out when they had the opportunity in game one. Damn it hurts and sucks to lose like this when you outplay a team in two out of three games, yet still come out on the short end of the stick. I'm a Longhorn through and though and will alway support Texas till I die!

Thank you Augie for being our coach and for getting us not only back to the CWS again, but for putting us in the position to almost win a seventh NC. We've got almost every key player back next year and we have a great shot at winning it all in 2010.

On the bright side, at least we don't have to hear the "LSU, LSU, LSU, LSU" chants anymore, and we don't have to watch ESPN kiss their asses anymore. They are hands down most obnoxious fans in college sports. I have a new hated program now to go along with OU and aggy. Screw LSU and their jerkoff fans!

I enjoyed watching the scenes of the lsu fans. It gave me a general idea who will be working for me in Houston after the next hurricane.
 
A lot of LSU fans are violent criminal scumbags. No other way to put it. A&M played in Baton Rouge a lot and theres no other way to describe them.
Some fans talk trash, get drunk and stupid or even start fights. But theres usually no real intense malice behind it. Many LSU fans have a real murderous, intense hatred that I have never experienced anywhere else.
I've never been to prison but I imagine the vibe when you get a lot of LSU fans together is similar to the feeling in an institution.
 
If a team "gave away" a game, how can it be said it "outplayed" the other team? Don't a team's mistakes go into the calculus of who plays better?
 
I have no personal beef with LSU fans since most of them are a blast to hang out with.

At least we didn't have to hear "SEC-SEC-SEC-SEC" on TV.
