LSU fans....

...are getting on my nerves. I generally like LSU, but their fans are some of the most obnoxious I've seen and have this sense of annoying entitlement. Also ESPN is all over their n*ts as well. Then Les Miles says something like "LSU fans are the best and we don't even notice Texas' fans", etc.

I hope we come back and win another ring and shut up these obnoxious a-holes!

I don't want to sound Aggyesque.. but I'm rather disappointed with how bias this presentation has been. Win the series, shut the Toothless Tigures up, take the trophy back to Austin and light the tower!

LSU.... Where to begin?
My mom was from Louisiana, I'm a coon *** basically.

I dislike LSU more than Aggy. Yes I said it.
I hate LSU, and I don't hate much.
LSU has some of the luckiest teams ever.

Um, we have hurricanes too.

So, wonder if old Les baby twitters any recruits? Hmmm...

And he sure as hell ain't watching the game or paying attention to his family.

Hook'em!!!

I would like to add that it seems like a very one sided bet that gov. good hair made with gov. bobby. I think our coast produces some pretty good seafood. Why the hell would we want to give those swamp rats our fine Texas barbecue?

I'm at the game and they are not saying much tonight. Last night they were extremely obnoxious after the game. They acted like they had won the series. Very much "in your face".
I think I like Sooner fans better, except for my wife who is actually a classy LSU grad : )
I did seek out and talked to some nice LSU folks later, but in general many were bad.

LSU will basically give you a free education if you can spell SAT, but what that diploma buys you I have no idea.

I heard Texas fans...But didn't actually SEE them till the end of the game when ESPN thought they'd throw us a bone and show a few.

LSU was tailgating next to us all last week. I think they are pretty cool fans. I have a very positive impression of LSU fans. That being said, I had to come home and so I am not seeing LSU fans when there opponent is Texas. Maybe they're not so friendly, but I kinda think the LSU fans that I was chatting with would not be obnoxious.

the LSU coach sounds like the most effete guy on the team.

now the beat writers talk about the mighty SEC and how they did this all year.

How did you like how the announcers make it a point to point out everytime Texas gets a hit, it's because the pitcher left it hanging out there for us. I guess what they're saying is Texas can only hit it when it's over the plate.

There band is alot of fun to watch and they have all those cool fight songs written by Huey P. Long before he was assasinated. Also my high school colors where purple and gold.

Other than that, as I stated in an earlier post, they are mostly tee shirt fans looking for someone in the stands that has a full set of teeth that isnt store bought.

The Liberal Has Spoken. Discuss.

move a&m college over to Louisiana somewhere... how about Lake Charles?... put them not too far apart and let them become rivals and adversaries and try to one-up the other at what they do best... as witnessed this week from both campuses.

I lived in BR for a spell. I made a lot of friends there and keep in contact with some. I went to some LSU games and while their tailgating is "better" in how it is arranged and their stadium is louder for the entire game, the atmosphere sucks...if you are an opposing fan. The fans can be quite douchey. They are not a highly educated lot either.

The food is outstanding. The alcohol is ubiquitous and gratis for the most part. The fans are clad in purple and gold and laughing, having a great time. But boy do the majority of them turn when an opposing fan comes by. There is not a lot of sharing food and beer like at a Texas game. Sure, we have our ******** too, all teams do. But it is not a fun time in Baton Rouge on game day if you are not for the Bayou Bengals.

I love Baton Rouge and enjoy my time back. I don't enjoy their fans and I was not even in opposing team colors. I was well fed and treated well because I was with Tiger fans. But they are a douchey bunch for the most part. Most are dumb as stumps.

I have more of a problem with ESPN than the LSU fans.

They are supposed to cheer for their team and if we win I am sure we have a few fans that will gloat in front of the LSU fans. Every team has their share of "bad" fans.

ESPN on the other hand is supposed to be unbiased. You would have thought they would have learned thier lesson when they basically crowned USC champion weeks before the game. They want LSU to win so badly and it shows in their broadcast. LSU is a great team and they may win but I wish just once they would treat each team equally and give them credit for being in the championship game or series.

This has been a great series and I look forward to a great game 3 tonight. Go Horns!

My only experience with the Tiger fans. I sat with the LSU fans during the 2003 Cotton Bowl. They were drunk before the game. Our side of the Cotton Bowl ran out of beer by the third quarter. The more Texas poored it on LSU in the second half the more drunker they got. We sat right behind the hard hat LSU fan that is on TV all the time. He tried to talk crap to us but all we did was point at the scoreboard. Texas 35, LSU 20!!

Go Horns!! Beat LSU tonight!! Let's get national title #7!!

We had fun in Omaha in years past with the LSU fans, great tailgaters. We would tailgate together and root for each other's team when not playing the other. They are loud, fanatical, like their beer and cajun cooking, kind of like Texas fans in a lot of ways.
They used to root more for their team, without all the Horns down signs and stuff, though. That gets irritating. But don't even try to compare them to sooners.

The LSU fans are something else this year. My sister is up there and said they are some of the worst fans she has seen. They are stealing food, coolers, chairs and anything else they can get their hands on. One UT group walked away from their tailgate and came back with chairs and coolers missing. The UT group walked over to the line for the outfield bleachers and LSU fans were sitting in their chairs and eating their food. She also said a bunch of them are living in their cars and are gettting a little smelly.
