2 separate incidents -- Borough Market and London Bridge
(Original reports were 3 attacks, but now they say the 3rd stabbing was unrelated)

ISIS published this for Ramadan.

Possible for European cities to ban Salafist Muslims from renting trucks/vans? Probably could not do this in the US. But might be legal over there.

It seems a little sad to me when the President of the United States cares more about terrorism in London than the London mayor or the UK Prime Minister

This was in May after Manchester
Think they will say the exact same thing again this time?

"The police were running away... People threw chairs at [the attackers]."

That's what's wrong with their stupid practice of not letting most of their officers carry a gun. If an officer happens to be near the scene of the crime, he can't really do much to help if the suspect has a weapon.

Back in the day when pick pocketing and pub fights were their biggest crime problems, this wasn't as dumb (though it was still dumb). In the age of terrorism, it's spectacularly dumb.

I wonder how determined the 'hearts and minds' folks who have tix to Grande's return event in Manchester tomorrow are feeling about now.

Anybody who goes to this is asking for trouble. It's very sad, but it's the truth. I wouldn't be caught dead at something like that. (Of course, I wouldn't be caught dead at an Arianna Grande concert even if there was no terror threat, but that's beside the point.)

London hasn't been under attack like this since WW2. Then they had leaders like Churchill. Now they have leaders like Sadiq "carry on, this is the safest city in the world" Khan.

London police do not seem equipped or trained to handle the terror threat

Libs, when is "ENOUGH......ENOUGH?" Do you still feel like it's a great idea to take in refugees? Are you pissed off yet? If so, you sure don't seem like it. I'm beyond outraged by the "lets act like everything is normal because the Terrorist want to put fear in us" approach. Let's put fear in them and eliminate them instead of us acting like we're ducks on a pond. PC is to blame for so many deaths. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!

Tom Bower's new book "Broken Vows: Tony Blair - The Tragedy of Power" lays bare how PM presided over a silent conspiracy to change face of UK

What has happened to Britain has not been an accident or natural process. As in US, it was Government policy.

If you read these excerpts, you will see plenty of Obama here --

"Tony Blair presided over a silent conspiracy to change the face of Britain for ever with mass immigration, an explosive book reveals.

He ordered his Labour government never to discuss in public the supposed ‘advantages’ of the unprecedented influx.

But behind the scenes ministers were instructed to wave tens of thousands of asylum seekers into the UK under cover of their being ‘economic migrants’. Astonishingly, the minister Mr Blair put in charge of borders ruled against deporting failed claimants because it would be too ‘emotional’.

The main aim of allowing in millions of people was to make the country ‘see the benefit of a multicultural society’. The Blair government did not see its job as being to ‘control immigration’. The policy is revealed today in a Daily Mail serialisation of an authoritative biography of the former prime minister by Tom Bower, an internationally-acclaimed investigative journalist....."

Under Blair, "even failed [asylum] applicants became entitled to benefits."

"Publicly, the govt spoke about stepping up deportations. In practice, there were insufficient staff to carry them out."

Labour pushed through a law allowing asylum seekers to stay until they’d exhausted every possible appeal.

"Blair ruefully admitted years later, Britain was becoming known as the asylum capital of Europe."

Least of all did Labour question whether the immigrants would have any effect on lives of the British working class.

This is consistent with the Blair book
They lie
They lie all the time about what they are doing, and why

I agree in that I prefer our american system with armed citizens and police. I would not choose the british system. However, I dont think having unarmed cops back in the day you described was "still dumb." It worked on the overall for the society they had. Now with radical islam and 21st century terrorism, yep, it is really dumb and the unarmed police practice in england has to end. I know the english dont want to end the practice, but they have only themselves to blame for meeting radical terrorism with political correctness.

This is a sad incident and one in which my heart goes out to Londoners and the Brits.

50 shots were fired by 3 responding policemen thus they do have firearm officers among their ranks. I see no issue with arming all police officers. The paucity of guns in the UK limited the carnage from these 3 attackers, IMHO. The fact that they were limited to a "Laurie" and knifes was a good thing in limiting the outcome of their ill intentions.

The good news for you is that you are able to accept these murders as a "fact of life", and can rest comfortably knowing that the majority of Brits won't be killed in the same manner.

I didn't accept anything but acknowledged the lack of guns by these 3 villains greatly limited the number of deaths they could inflict on the Brits, unlike Paris or Orlando. Extremism needs to be stamped out but with >2M Muslims in Britain and nearly 5% of the population it won't be easy. Start by infiltrating/closing the extremist mosques.

Wow. You're finally starting to understand the magnitude of the problem, and possibly even realizing what it is going to take to stop this madness. Good for you.

The difference between you and I, I don't see this as a >2M member problem for UK. It's the extremists among them that need to be culled.
