Liverpool 07/08 Season Thread

Every time I go to Live Footy I forget that I need to use IE and get all pissed off for a couple of minutes about why it won't work until I remember I'm using the wrong browser. I'm not too bright, I guess.

The game is being aired LIVE at 10:30 am ET.

Gonna get a breakfast kick-off then head to work. Curious to see what Rafa does with Chelsea looming.
 
Wow. Great find. Has anyone checked the DirecTV listings to see if it reflects this?

BTW, e-season ticket is now listing "Live Video" as "TBC" - obviously better than "No". Apparently, it's the Liverpool TV channel (Setanta) in the UK.
 
I'm setting my Tivo for manual record tonight if the guide isn't updated.

In all fairness the GolTv site was pointed out by one of the LFCNY folks on a liverpool forum
 
Glad to see the huge banner for it, b/c it was only listed on the left side of the site yesterday and wasn't reflected on the schedule page.

Oh, and I'm the dumbass that woke up today thinking the game was on, started making breakfast @ 7am, then realized that it was tomorrow.

Oops.
 
Unfortunately, the newest DirecTV DVR doesn't have a manual record option. I guess I can just record whatever they have at 9:30 and go an hour and a half over.

Now my only problem is - do I still try to watch it on the internet at work, or do I avoid the internet tomorrow?
 
I really think you're going to be disappointed if you think it's showing on GolTV. If you check their listings, it IS showing on their Canadian feed, but still doesn't show on the US one. Also, as of 7 am, DirecTV is still not listing it.

I conclude that they have rights to broadcast in Canada, but not in the US.

e-season ticket is now listing only live audio with stills. I've got this launched and Live Footy.

Here's the lineup (BTW):

LIVERPOOL: Reina, Finnan, Carragher, Hyypia, Arbeloa, Benayoun, Gerrard, Mascherano, Babel, Voronin, Crouch.

SUBS: Itandje, Agger, Riise, Torres, Alonso, Kuyt, Sissoko.
 
I'm pretty sure I just heard one of the Chinese broadcasters say "goal jihad". Hopefully that was a good thing for Liverpool
 
I'm getting the same thing - I've seen the highlights from Asia Cup and Real Madrid/Atletico like 10 times now
 
It is live on GolTV. I guess the game was a little too early for Ray Hudson, as he's not in the booth.

Absolute golazo from Voronin. Takes a nice touch then fires a rocket from 30 yards out. Curls away from the keeper and into the upper 90. Classy finish.

Babel again looks like a player with unlimited potential. He's incredibly athletic, has a cannon of a shot, and is attacking defenders on the dribble. Great footballing IQ on him too. Can't wait to see his development over the next year.

Benny and Babel have been swapping flanks throughout the half. Masch up to his old ways - tackling hard, playing great positionally, and even looking capable of attacking (he did have two goals at Copa America). Crouch looks a bit out of sorts at the moment.

I'm guessing we see about 30 minutes of El Nino, and possibly pull our captain and/or Carra.
 
Great to hear confirmation the GolTV is live. Now I can enjoy (hopefully) viewing this match when I get home.
