List your top ten cities

Never been to Tahoe, but I'd imagine it's pretty awesome.

Kind of switching gears, but my brother and sister in law went to look at an apt in downtown Austin. 2600 a month for 1300 sq feet.

Yes, that's my list in order. I don't want to enter enemy territory too often (outside the borders of Texas). I like birdwatching in Texas, and would like to live close to the great natural areas of Texas, or within driving distance. Went to the Aransas Wildlife Refuge this past weekend.
I put San Diego on the list so I wouldn't appear too provincial, but I wouldn't actually live there. You can visit there once in a while to enjoy it.

Durango, CO
Telluride, CO
Nederland, CO
Moab, UT
Austin
And any 5 others that have been named already.

Accuratehorn , my grandparents lived in Ft. Davis when I was growing up. It truly is a beautiful place.

Wow, Alpine? I mean, I used to live there and have a hard time imagining it as a "city". I do miss the RailRoad Blues, however.

To the folks listing Savannah, GA.....

It is a BEAUTIFUL city and I have spent a lot of time there, but no way in hell I would live there. It is a DANGEROUS place to live. Plus, if not for the revitalization that Savannah School of Arts and Design have done there, that place would be a war zone.

It would be cool to have one of those huge old homes along one of those squares but the upkeep is fantastically expensive. One guy I know runs a B&B there. He said he has had to repaint his building once a year for the past 17 years. This last year was the first time he has been able to skip a year. It costs him over $18k to paint that house.
