Lie, Lie, Lie!

This is the only thing this administration is good at. It's pretty comical listening to the lie about the lie. Then you remember that these liars are the ones running this country right now.

All politicians lie, particularly when you get to the upper levels of government. Some do it more than others and some are better at it, but no one gets there without it.

Yes all politicians lie
That does not mean each of them should not be called on it when they are discovered.
In this guy's case he promised to bring a new transparent golly gee honesty.
Even his most ardent sypporters know he has taken lying to a new level. There are so many but vertainly lying about this has to be at the top.

I really hope no BO supporter will excuse his lies away with the old ," well they all do it."
And ThirdCoast I don't think that is what you were doing but others will

Edit: Faux has opened up it's comments section, after having been shut down due to numerous vicious & threatening comments towards the President. The angry TP crowd are all back on there now. Shouldn't y'all be out there venting and letting some steam out, instead of trying to turn HF into texags lite?

Typical parlance from liberal goalie Roger35
No debating the meat of the story, just pure and simple finger-pointing at those not lock-step in support of documented failure and subterfuge by the current Administration

Today's testimony from General Lowell Ret should make every person in the BO admin who botched this shamed to their core.
Lowell
"Many with firsthand knowledge have recounted the heroism displayed by the brave Americans in Benghazi that night. They fought the way they trained. That is in the record. Outside of Libya there were discussions that churned on about what we should do. These elements also fought the way they were trained. Specifically, the predisposition to interagency influence had the military structure—in the spirit of expeditionary government support—waiting for a request for assistance from the State Department. There are accounts of time, space and capability discussions of the question, could we have gotten there in time to make a difference. Well, the discussion is not in the “could or could not” in relation to time, space and capability the point is we should have tried—. As another saying goes: “Always move to the sound of the guns,” Lovell said. “It is with a sense of duty as a retired General officer that I respectfully submit these thoughts and perspectives.”

USA today got it right
"Lovell’s testimony contradicts the story that the Obama administration gave in the early days following the Sept. 11, 2012, attacks on the U.S. Consulate that left four Americans dead, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Back then the administration insisted that the best intelligence it had from CIA and other officials indicated that the attack was a protest against an anti-Islam video that turned violent.

Lovell’s testimony is the first from a member of the military who was at Africa Command at the time of the attack. Lovell was deputy director for intelligence at Africa Command.

Can we relate what lie, specifically, we're talking about? As has been pointed out, every single politician (I'd say every single person) lies.

After all, Bush said during the 2000 campaign that he wouldn't use American troops for nation building. Several trillion dollars ----- and more than 100,000 deaths, including 5000+ Americans ------ we're STILL in Afghanistan, trying to build a nation.

Mind you, I'm not saying that ANY lie is acceptable. Just pointing out that I don't recall those who are so upset about Obama's lies (of which there are certainly many) being upset with Mr. Bush for lies that were profoundly more consequential.

Yes all politicians lie. But also all politicians tell the truth too. This administration I believe has not told the truth one time since 2008. He is a pathological liar and needs to seek help professionally.

When I wrote this
'I really hope no BO supporter will excuse his lies away with the old ," well they all do it."
I really thought it would be a BO supporter who resorted to the ' but Bush did it too" whine
I did not exepct you to do it since we all know

you are a libertarian.

R35, everyone heard the same intelligence as Bush on both sides and the majority voted to go in. And not to mention Saddam himself stated he had WMD and he kicked out or denied weapons inspectors like 19 times. Everyone was convinced he had them and it wouldn't be surprising if they were shipped to Syria who are now using them on their own people while Oblamo draws red lines and does nothing.

R35 either thinks everyone who disagrees is an idiot or defends his positions by bringing up Bush. Brilliant!

Benghazi, "you can keep your plan", "there was not a smidgen of corruption" take your pick. Oh, and there are many others. The reason his poll numbers are so low is that he is a documented liar and the citizens do not trust him.

When the only reply is all politicians lie, Bush lied, etc., it proves even the ultra libs on this board know it as well.

What did Bush lie about BI? I never heard before that he promised to never engage in nation building.

BI
So that is the only salient point to you?
do you have an opinion you'd offer on BO's lies?

Judging by your inaccuracy you could benefit from remedial reading classes as well

BI, you are a closet liberal when you say Bush lied. It's one of those one liners the left used with nothing to back it up. What did Bush lie about?

A true definition of a pathological liar is one that will lie then get busted with proof and will continue to lie like all of America are idiots. He can not tell the truth if his life depended on it. He's lost the trust of the American people and once you are a known liar, you just don't get that trust back. So he's lost some of his most faithful worshippers. Still some Roger 35s out there that would support him if Oblamo was caught on film murdering somebody. They would blame Bush.

The other thing Cana is that something significant happened in between Bush's campaign in 2000 and him sending troops to Afghanistan and Iraq which could have changed the calculus.

Bush's problem wasn't intelligence though. That is a caricature created by his opponents.
