Libyans Kill Ambassador

The muslims know all Obama is going to do is apologize, and they're right. That's all he has done, and that's all he will do. He won't attack his muslim brothers. He may bow to another muslim king for what that's worth.
 
You bird brains would ***** regardless of what Obama does. The tough guy act is very old. Im glad our President doesn't respond like a 3rd grader in the face of bad days

GreenDragonSix -- You realize that Libya has an elected moderate government and Libyans died fighting to defend the American embassy? This was a planned attack by a terrorist cell that had a lot of weaponry. The Libyan government, which is not autoritarian, has a country ful of armed camps.

Yes, the "Arab Spring" is going to be messy. But authorian dictoators who with a small cadre of close allies sucked the majority of the nations wealth into thier own coffers for their own selfish purposes were a lot more steady and predictable as governments. It's going to be messy when people who have never governed themselves start governing themselves. We could buy Murbarak and intimidadate Khadafy. We can't do that to the entire populations of Egypt and Libya.
 
Our country was attacked when our embassies were attacked. The two governments are accountable for not protecting the embassies and are thereby complicit for not doing so. I am very familiar with the ME and they think our president is weak and a joke. They also thought GWB was crazy enough to nuke Mecca and feared him. There are people on this board that are applying western thought processes to the people of the ME and that is simply irrational.
You can only deal with these people from a position of strength and now is the time to send the message.
Cut off the money and let these countries fall and reemerge, it will be in our best interests in the long run.

"In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing."
 
I think the Obama Administration's response to this has been measured and firm. The White House repudiated Egyptian Embassy correspondence apologizing for the deeply offensive movie. It's working to ferret out the attackers and especially in Libya making strides to work with the government to bring the attackers to justice.
 
No all Obama has done is apologize thru his own Embassy. Speed of the leader speed of the pack. Then deny the apology. Then he got tough and blamed Romney. NOT Bush, but Romney...................... Can this guy dance or what?
 
Can we stop the BS about Obama being firm? What do we expect from a President that apologizes for America to these countries and only attended half of the intel meeting. GWB attending all intel meeting 100% of the time. This is something a Presdient shouldn't take lightly and him out campaigning and apologizing instead of taking this matter very seriously is just one more example that this guy is not a leader AT ALL.

I can see you Libs now trying to defend him by saying it was the Ciaro Embassy that tweeted the apology. 3 things about that. No way a lower level person in his adminstration would tweet without the President or his closest advisors knowing. Second, he had 16 hours and two tweets doubling down on that statement later to state it wasn't approved. He only stated he didn't approve it when Romney brought it up. Third, how many times does someone have to speak for the president and he not approve of it. We had this and fast and furious, the DNC leaving out the word God and changing what the capital of Isreal. Either his staff disrespects him which shows he's not a leader or he's lying. It just seems he always has an excuse for not knowing when he see's the reaction to his decisions. He leads from behind and this era should be called "welcome back Carter" because he has taken us back to that Presidency and actually has surpassed it.

No other countries fear us right now and actually are made to feel justified for their actions because of this Presdients apologes. This is just more proof that our Presdient is a joke.

New reports are suggesting that not only were these attacks planned, not a response to some ridiculous you tube video, but the state department knew of a threat 48 hours prior to the attack and did not warn the embassy.
