So thats how it works....... Get a medical condition, use it to make a weak partisan political point and you are free from scrutiny. You can sanctimoniously claim immunity by projecting death wishes on yourself from your detractors.

We dont have her chart in front of us but form the description is is possible tHAT she had Endometriosis, which occurs in 5-10 percent of all women and is almost never fatal. The condition is painful and can lead to infertility , but the tumors are benign. If it were cancer she'd mention her radiation, chemo, and surgery.

All i hear about from the left is how the repubs practice the politics of fear. Actually that all the left does anymore....... "Youre gonna die of lack of healthcare if you dont want socialized medicine", "that F-5 would have never wiped out your town if you would have voted for a pol that would have ratified the kyoto treaty" " republicans want to pump mercury into local reservoir " It's the politics of dumb people that are prone to drama and histrionics.

This is the type of argument I've had with my parents for the last 20 years. No matter what the issue is, my parents will pull some (usually isolated) emotional case as to why their position is correct.

Socialized healthcare = "your father wouldn't get his pills without Obama's healthcare system."
Social security pyramid scheme = "your grandmother relied on that check every month to pay her heating bill."
People on unemployment for over a year = "Without unemployment checks in the mid-80's, we would have been homeless."
My disgust the night Obama was elected = "You're black mother (really close family friend) cried because she got to see a black man elected."

Now, don't get me wrong. I know there are two sides to every debate. My point is that I get the emotional end of the debate in which any disagreement makes me a complete *******. If I'm against someone being on unemployment for 18 months then I'd be in favor of my family being homeless in the mid-80's.

Gotta love the straw man argument.
