LF Parking Questions

I just received the parking request form and, pardon my ignorance, wonder if there is a cost associated with these permits. This is my first year for season tickets and I don't particularly need the parking passes since I will have to fly in for the few games that I'll be able to attend. Is there a cost associated? If so, how much? Are the spots assigned in the lots/garages?

Also, I'm not likely to be doing any tailgaiting at my spot, if I get one, so I'm indifferent on where I go. Where should I request so that I can allow those that want to tailgate a better (however miniscule) chance to get their desired choice?

Parking is included with your season tickets. You can request to park in a garage if you'd like to leave a lot space open for others to tailgate. The individual spaces are not assigned, only the specific lot or garage is

Parking passes come with your season tickets...IF...you have donated a minimum of $150.00 to the Longhorn Foundation. The less you give the less desirable spot you will get. I know some of the lower tiered donors have already been sent a letter stating they will be in the purple/white checkered garages, on a first come/first park basis. If you have no desire to use your pass, assuming you are a LF donor, go to Swap Meet on this website and you can find someone who would like to have it. If it turns out to be light blue for the San Jac Garage, remember me.

I'm surprised they aren't charging extra on top of the season tickets for parking. Not that it would matter if they did since you can park for free and walk like 5 extra minutes.

Well, you can't get a parking pass unless you donate at least $150, so, in a manner of speaking, you are paying for it.

I don't know why more people haven't caught on to the Capitol Metro shuttle thing from Barton Creek Mall, the intramural fields, and wherever else they do it. Best $2 I've ever spent.
