What does all that have to do with the fact that many people who live in Texas are republicans. And hate when the poor and less fortunate receive help from the federal government but don't mind receiving it when it's convenient. Some might called those actions hypocritical.Actually proud to be a Texan today, in SA, listening to the radio, press conference with mayor, county judge, congressman, red cross, salvation army, CPS energy, similar to earlier press conference by the governor.
Superb coordination, not only for the SA area, but have already brought in about 100 buses of needy evacuees from Corpus area, putting them up locally in safety until they can return to their homes.
Sure, the governor has applied for federal disaster relief. Duh, it's Texas tax money going to Washington just for this purpose.
Texas didn't ask for Harvey to come by and threaten the state, but as compared to a corrupt Louisiana some years ago, we're ready.
Hell, if Harvey winds up going to Louisiana, we're ready to help them out again.
Nice try.
God Bless Texas.
Oh, so no comment on the obvious hypocrisy that many republicans display when it comes to hating government help for the poor and less fortunate while also receiving that same help when it's convenient. You're disappointing me, Ratt. I thought you'd be able to figure out a way to make the storm about racism and white supremacy.
Hurricanes and tropical storms happen because white people are so violent. It's a fact! Look it up sometime.

Man, for someone who was crying about not wanting to talk about race it sure seems like the the facts that gave to you all is really eating you up.I don't think you know what the word "hypocrisy" means or know what anybody believes. Quit trying to think and do what you're good at - blaming white people for stuff.
Maybe I can give you a hand. White people are out beating and killing blacks so much that the evaporated tears of those who have grieved the killings and beatings over the centuries have made an impact on the climate and created hurricanes. And of course, it's aggravated by the climate change caused by all the fossil fuels white people are burning. So it's not just water that's very coming down. It's the tears of our victims. Accordingly, when a white man dies in a hurricane, he's not a victim. He's reaping what he sowed! It's a fact! Look it up sometime.
I think that's pretty good. I was able to call out white people for their violence and oppression and invoke climate justice all in the same post. Surely you should be able to match my effort.
Nope,I hate republicans because many of them are hypocrites and only care about themselves even though they like to identify as Christians.Ahhhh you and your "facts." How about the fact that you hate white people, Texans, conservatives, and basically anyone who disagrees with you on anything. How about the "fact" that you're happy to see people die in a storm just so you can prove a point?
See how it works when you claim as "fact" your own opinions and guesses about how someone else feels about something? That's why those aren't actually "facts" at all.
It's nice that you stated all that nonsense just to sneak in the fact that Texas is STILL utilizing government resources at the end.Hmmm...I don't see ANY Texans engaging in hand-wringing, hoping the feds are going to come to their rescue. Texans take care of Texans.
I also noticed that Abbott signed a proclamation waiving the collection of hotel taxes for the next two weeks for victims and those involved in the relief effort. Again, Texans looking out for the interests of Texans.
Where FEMA is on the ground, they appear to be deferring to the local command.
Man, for someone who was crying about not wanting to talk about race it sure seems like the the facts that gave to you all is really eating you up.
But yet for some reason you've continued to respond to me. You played yourself.I wasn't crying about not wanting to talk about race. I don't mind talking about race. I've talked about race here several times. What I really have a hard time with is taking you seriously.
But yet for some reason you continue to respond to me. You played yourself.

Sorry but you're wrong. Everything I posted is a fact, so you can't dispute it.
Politics wasn't set aside when many republicans blamed the Mayor of New Orleans for what happened in Katrina. Well, unfortunately Houston is looking a lot like Katrina.Let's see if a troll like RF has any limits? In this time of human tragedy, you would think politics would be set aside.
By the way, I have not hit the ignore button on you yet. I respect people's beliefs, thoughts and free speech. I learned at a very early age to ignore ***holes without technology's help.
Sorry Dionysus.

Please find where I gave any indication of being happy that thousands of people have lost everything that they have.It is APPALLING that Taps, err ratfart seems to be taking glee in the damage that has been done upon this fine State by a storm that, at this moment, is STILL drenching the Houston area.
Please find where I said anything about that cocaine using retard. But when you blamed George Bush, that was just stating one of your "facts?"
It is precisely because you chose to go fapping all over yourself to make this a political situation. If you gave a damn, you would have been able to put politics aside and go assist in being a Texan helping other Texans. Or you would have at least shut the eff up and put your race-baiting politics to the side...Please find where I gave any indication of being happy that thousands of people have lost everything that they have.
Ah yes, the person that tried to dismiss the fact that the state of Texas is using government aid. It's obviously very sad and unfortunate about what Houston is dealing with. But I saw a whole lot of people hand wringing hoping the Feds would come and save them as you said about Katrina. There are MANY differences, not the least of which is that Houston and the surrounding areas have coordinated rescue efforts taking place.
It is clear that you do not live in Houston or the surrounding area or you would realize this.
Further, even if Nagin had been the subject of misplaced blame, it does not excuse you from being an a-hole. Unless, of course, you are tacitly admitting that something is justified by virtue of some perceived slight 12 years ago. But, then again, being the bigger person just wouldn't be your style, would it Taps
So you couldn't find anywhere that I said it. And the Federal government helping Texas. I guess I was dreaming this morning when I saw Abbott on tv saying Trump as given him everything he's asked for.Considering I am in the middle of the downpours (the red bands on radar at the moment), I don't see a lot of calls from people in the affected areas looking for federal assistance. Texans are taking care of Texans. Those damned sure are NOT federal pick-up trucks bringing boats to help with the evacuation. Those ARE Texans helping Texans.
