Laura Hall on 48 Hours Tonight

I agree Mac. Every time its dirtbag looking dad would open his mouth i could tell the apple did not fall far from the parasite infested tree. I can understand staying by the side of a child but when your child has done what it did it does not make sense to say the things he was saying. But then again, they raised it.

I have seen in a couple of places where they refer to Colton as her boyfriend. They obviously did not ask him or people who knew him because she was NOT his boyfriend. He flat out used her for sex. She was jealous of somebody smarter, better looking and with an actual real future ahead of her. Not to mention a nicer person.

TOT-al PSY-cho...clap, clap.

Watching that last night was sickening for the simple reason that there was so much more to her behavior, etc. that wasn't displayed in the show. However, I guess you can only show so much in one hour.

If it's possible, can somebody give a quick, brief recap of the facts in this case? I don't know anything about it but given the posts here it appears to be highly volatile and emotionally charged. I'm not trying to suggest guilt or innocence, just an objective recounting.

That picture from Mexico is creeeeeepy. She totally looked scared of him

At one point, the reporter asked Hall a question and Hall narrowed her eyes and glared at the reporter in a such a way that was evil. It could be editing but my Mr. Horngal and I both looked at eachother and said "whoa, that was a look!".

Did anyone else notice it?

I have no idea what I was doing to miss this on the news. She looks familiar. Maybe I bumped into her on 6th a while ago.

I hope she doesn't apply to UT Law when she gets out...

the girl is freakin' evil. at the beginning of the segment the reporter asked her to tell her accounts of the story, laura hall takes a big sigh then chuckled and said something like 'this is the first time i've talked about this". the only time she showed emotion was when the interviewer started asking her questions regarding her impending incarceration. she didn't act like someone who was still afraid for her life and was forced into this horrific crime. after watching that interview, it seemed that laura hall was the manipulator not colton and she should've been sentenced to 55 years. the girl is sick. as a previous poster said i can definitely understand why jennifer cave's parents are fearful of her release. when she is released I hope to hear that she is checked into a mental hospital and not into society. the fact that this girl thinks she can get into law school after taking part in murder speaks volumes.

I'm wondering how "well" you know our family and my sisters. There was only one person who made negative comments to the press about Jennifer and that person quickly realized that she shouldn't have said what she did. Speaking ill of the deceased when the most intimate you've come is seeing them pass you in the hall is extremely narrow-sighted. Going to HS with someone doesn't mean you truly know that person. There were no facts given in that person's quotes - it was all hear-say and cattiness. In fact, the Texan printed a public apology to our family for the inclusion of that article imparticular and a couple of others that followed.

We appreciate all of the support everyone has given us. It's unfortunate however when people WANT to be more involved and connected than they should. Our situation is nothing we would ever wish upon anyone.

And yes, we were happy but not surprised to see that Laura's "composure" faltered several times. The interviewer was given the same evil glares that we received throughout her trial - during proceedings, as she stomped past us in the hallways, even barreling past me and my mom (in complete linebacker fashion) in the bathroom despite being forewarned that we were there. If she was so scared of Colton and truly a VICTIM it would only make sense to feel remorse, sadness, and guilt for what we were experiencing and the fact that she played a part in something so horrendous - something she supposedly feared could have happened to her at any moment. But no, we were most definitely viewed by the weird Hall family as the enemy.

I mean, when I'm scared of someone, I repeatedly visit their apartment, have sex, help clean up blood, dismember bodies, drive them to Mexico, party, drink and do some coke, and get their name tattooed on my ankle - don't the rest of you???? Geeeeez.

I remember reading that they all tested positive for meth when arrested and even the deceased had meth in her system.

Crazy meth-related violence occurs frequently within the more stereotypical meth communities. It is somewhat unfortunate that the media failed to address the meth angle more in its coverage of this story to provide a poignant example of the danger of the drug to the UT community.

In a couple of the pictures of Colton, you could see the tell tale sores were starting to form... I would link, but I am at work. Looked up the case and some pics on my lunch break. Crazy stuff. Meth is a dangerous, dangerous drug.

Yeah, she came off as crazy as hell. Although they could have easily pressed her more, I though they did a good job. Is she serious? You really want people to believe that you were afraid of this POS when not only did you not call the cops after the guy showed you the dead body, then came back later when he called you, then drove him to Mexico, but then got a tattoo of his name on your ankle?

I'm assuming she took part in this interview during her trial last summer.....How in the hell did her lawyer not stop her from talking to this reporter?? Some representation he is.

i didn't get to watch it. where can i view the episode?

George-Best, do you have a link to that information? That's the first I've heard about it, and I've read quite a bit about the story. You also know that Jennifer's family posts here, so I'd suggest being absolutely sure before you say something like that.

You know where I think she slipped up worst in the interview? When she characterized Colton's statements about her in court. She basically implied that she was going to try to protect him-- not tell the truth, not tell her/their story but do what she could to minimize his time in the pen-- and that she was furious that he would throw her under the bus by detailing her involvement in the desecration of the corpse.

That stuck out like a sore thumb to me. She's basically admitting she was going to give a version of the events that differed from the truth, either by not speaking or lying, because it would be good for him, and she was angry he didn't feel similar compunction to protect her.

That sounded to me like, "****, he squealed on me!!! I wasn't gonna squeal on HIM!!!!!"

Speculation running wild in Hollywood fashion, I agree. It could have, it could not have. Thank you for your TMZ meets National Enquirer scenario, sorta.

But ty for the link as I was going to have to delete the other up top.

I certainly didn't want to come off as knowing Lauren extremely well or being a confidant of even a friend. I just meant to say I had some experience with the Cave family, and that they were all good people.

I don't mean to insinuate anything or paint a picture for anyone. I was friends with Lauren's younger sister and tried to smooth things over when that newspaper article was printed. I'd never wish any ill will on the Cave family, and certainly didn't mean to offend.

My sincerest apologies.
