Flew back into Nashville and found out our young ladies won
in a walk.I was surprised and thrilled. Did Kristen get in the game.....at least for the last few minutes ? I hope so,after all we're in the NCCA'S. Does anybody have any idea while she never plays?

By the way,I was not surprised we won but by our margin of
victory. Go ladies, put the Huskies on a short leash. You can
do it !!!

I have heard that Kristen turns the ball over way too much in practice. She played a few minutes. I expect her to improve this offseason and see better minutes (~5 per game, more of an Aubry role) off the bench next year. She has great hustle, but is a little sloppy with the ball and fouls.

Kristen got in with about 3:00 to go in the game. Unfortunately, no absolutely stellar stats to have witnessed, but at least we saw her get into the game.

Niqky also got some time, quite possibly even more than Crystal Boyd saw...I haven't looked at the final stat sheet.

This doesn't explain her lack of playing time all season, but Dave Garrett (calling for Craig) on KVET radio said Kristen had been suffering with the flu for a couple of days. She got in only the last couple of minutes. Actually, when Dave was talking to Coach G before the game, she said a couple of girls had the flu symptoms, but did not elaborate.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Coach G have a change of heart now that we are in the NCAA tournament and give her significant playing time.

re: the flu symptoms. As described up here, it appears to be more closely related to mild food poisoning related to fish of questionable age/preparation. All appeared to be well by the time we tipped against Minnesota...
