Kinsler for Prince Fielder

Opens up 2nd for Profar. A power-hitting left handed bat and good first baseman.

Apparently confirmed. Fielder should love hitting in The Ballpark, with the jetstream to right center. And Profar should become the everyday 2B. I'm assuming Leonis Martin will hit leadoff, but I guess that will be sorted out in the Spring.

Wonder when we'll hear something about Cruz or McCann?

I want to like the trade, but I have never been sold on Fielder. His Averages for the last 3 years: 2011 - .299; 2012 - .313; 2013 - .279. If Kinsler would have been agreeable to moving to 1B and/or the outfield, I may nave been more selective.

On the other hand the money exchange was significant, and hopefully every dime of it will go into the bank not to be seen until time to resign Yu.

I am late to this thread but wanted to say I am on board with the move. hate to lose kins but Profar and Elvis firms up middle infield for years to come and if Fielder can just be average he will bring a bat that was sorely missing the last year and a half.
