Kinne Transfers

Some of y'all have said Baylor or Tech. Those would be good fits, but don't forget the intra-conference transfer rule. He would have to sit out two years to transfer within the Big XII. He seems like a good kid, and I wish the best of luck to him wherever he ends up.

Thats funny, a West Techie claiming they had absolutely no interest in a QB transfer of ours that half of DI recruited. I wish the best for GJ Kinne.

Wow so now 2 QB's have transferred during Colt's short time here. And another top QB committed and then backed out after seeing Colt tear it up his frosh season.

get your underwear in a knot if you will, but it's pretty easy to make a case that leach has done as good or a better job of recruiting qbs than ut.

guys like 4 star derek shaw as well as qbs who have moved on and succeeded after getting beaten out like nathan chandler (who started at iowa) and chris todd (who'll start this fall at auburn) are a testament to that fact.

among gbs on the roster now, among others harrell spurned georgia, potts michigan and loucks auburn and cal etc.

Good luck to him. He can always come back after he graduates to get his Master's, PhD, and MBA.

Good luck and well wishes to Kinne. I hope he gets a chance to play.

I disagree that Leach recruits better QBs than Texas does. Leach runs a great scheme, though, for maximizing his talent. He trains and utilizes his receiving corps as few others. I look for Tech to be a real threat this year.

Good luck to the kid wherever he ends up, cant say I disagree with the decision he was looking at not seeing the field for a while if ever.

his name is seth deoge.

he was a dec. grad and is already going thru spring practice--and thus far anyway to rave reviews.

we shall see.

I had already known he was transferring, most likely to LA Tech with his friend, Houston Tuminello. Kinne and Tuminello played together at Gilmer. With both being 5 stars, LA Tech didn't want to take them both. So Tuminello went to LA Tech and Kinne to Texas. A friend of mine who is close to Kinne mentioned this not too long ago to me.

I just hope Texas can stick with Gilbert when he comes or vice versa. There seems to be problems sticking with QBs.

Um, hate to break it to you NativeTXChic but only three stars are lit up under Kinne on this link.

Don't shoot the messenger!

Then you can not read native, Kinne was a three star at his highest rating, and that was after he was a 2 star for most of the recruiting year. Sorry, but the other guy was not even recruited by most of the larger schools, therefore, La. Tech was his best option.
Love that John Candy analogy above.

Lecturer knows of what he speaks concerning Tech. And Kinne 's arm did seem a little lacking in the spring game.

LA Tech Coach: Son, we are full up on 5 star players here. I guess you are going to have to go to Texas instead. Maybe next year you can transfer if we don't meet our quota of all-americans.
