First one is iffy (both the decision - although it was defensible - and the play call). Second one was absolutely the right call and players executed poorly.

It doesn't help our OL with NO backs in the back field.... Empty sets are stupid when you don't have a great passing QB, or a VY back there. Especially when your OL struggles.

I want someoone to convince me that other teams have better playmakers than Texas and that is why their offenses are more explosive. Beck and Co. just don’t have enough studs to blow teams out and maybe not enough to keep up with a Kansas.

Actually wasn't great coverage by Boyce, since he was guarding Parchment towards the sidelines and opening himself up to getting beat on the slant, but Parchment bobbled it for a split second and Boyce recovered to make a good play.
