K-State rebounds to Kent, who is pressured high by Pittman. Kent dribbles to his right, hands off to Clemente, who forces up a LONG three that clangs away harmless and into the hands of Gary Johnson. Texas wins, 61-58.
 
The good guys win a close one for a change. Still they are hard to watch, with the stupid things that they do. Hook 'em.

Pittman has been playing out of his mind, two gigantic games B2B and over 30 minutes in each. A little more celebration and then time to Focus on Baylor!!!!!!!

For those who didn't see this game, consider yourself lucky.

An important win notwithstanding, this was one of the worst UT men's basketball games I've ever seen, and I endured the Weltlich era!

Truly terrible basketball on both ends of the court. Fortunately, K-State couldn't throw it into the ocean today, so we're through to the semis.

On a more "positive" note, it's nice to avenge Jan. 31 and break the Mildcats' hearts (assuming this loss keeps them out of the NCAAs).
 
Let's get past Bible aggy first. 24 in a row going on 25, law of averages and all. However, if we play like we did today, ou would beat us by 30. The dirt burglars won't shoot like KSU did today, especially at home which is where they are.
 
Great win!!! Revenge is sweet.

And those were probably the worst refs ever. Many phantom calls, and calls that were made were very questionable on both ends. I felt like the game was called very inconsistantly.

But none the less, great game by Ward, Pittman, and Chapman. We absolutely need them down the stretch.
 
yes, it was something of a terrible game... but I came away with this observation:

K-State is a thug team in both football and basketball. I could not see the play up close (away from the ball -- due to camera movement and lousy picture quality to boot) but my guess is that K-State players aggravate the opposition into a lot of fouls and they set up well for charging calls.

I'm glad Horns won this game, as I now have a low opinion of K-State basketball. They can only play an asphalt game. Only thing missing this afternoon were the chain nets.

So... kitty kats... go home. Sit and watch the rest of March. Ha!! We played lousy and still whipped you. We even had twice as many turnovers and STILL beat you.
 
We were in win-or-lose. This game might swing us to the 7 seed, but that is the only movement for Texas off this game. This game did send KSU definitively to the NIT. I am impressed that the Horns seemingly brought a ton of intensity. Baylor will be tough tomorrow as we can'y work up much bile for the Bears. The Bears need a win and Aggy needs a Baylor loss (sometime in the conference tournament) or they get their butts bumped to the NIT as well. If Baylor should happen to rise up and win the Big 12 tourney, Aggy is out. Go Bears!!!!
 
Watching the game online with no video, it seemed like a great game, had me jumping up and down and cursing every 10 seconds!!!!! Over the internet, Pittman was everywhere, Ward was ICE and Chapman was excellent in the first half. AJ did hit a clutch 3!!!!!!

Craig just read the box and said K State had four (or six) second chance points. Is that possible? It seemed like they had to have averaged at least two shots per possession! They outshot us 66 TO 44!!!! That's just insane!
 
CBS sportsline said they had something like 10 offensive rebounds.......6-2nd chances sounds a little low. Not sure how they define 2nd chances......
