I really wished Herman works get asked about that in his presser

Why were there 3 DBs in the slot with a wide open receiver in the back of the endzone?

The answer is simple and it isn’t always on the kids. Kansas comes to the line and our defense doesn’t have the signal from the sideline yet.

How many times were the LBs either not set or not where they are supposed to be because we aren’t lined up when the ball is snapped or don’t know where we are supposed to be.

That, gentlemen, is lack of coaching.

Zero pressure on QB and our db’s honestly look lost about half the time.

Did you actually watch that game? Carter made some incredible throws under pressure. He was hit a lot. Kudos to the kid for his effort.

First time I have seen Vaughns out there for more than a play or two. Even Adeyole was out of position on the interception he made at WVU. If McCulloch is not out there, I do not know who else has the positioning knowledge.

The problems are legion on defense but we are so depleted we had a walk-on playing safety for part of the game. A walk on.

And the other one at the end was a RS Freshman. So pretty much down to the practice squad and true freshmen.

Coaching, youth, inexperience. All valid points, but let’s get real. Any high school player would not let a receiver get that open on a short field for a potential game winning reception. I am not being hard on the kids but that was crap.
