Price controls is one of these issues that a lot of older liberals get right, because what is happening to them now on illegal immigration happened to them on price controls in the '60s and '70s. They experienced just how catastrophically bad they are first hand when their cities tried rent control. Housing supply dried up. Tons of landlords held rent at controlled rates but basically stopped maintaining the properties or started expecting under the table cash. It was a disaster pretty much everywhere.
What's sad is that those old liberals didn't necessarily teach their dumbass kids how bad price controls are, so a lot of young liberals don't know how stupid of an idea they are. Of course, they'll find out eventually.

Trump and team need to hit this HARD! Anyone who owns stock, and that includes $ in a 401K or related should be against any price controls. I guess corporate exec's are supposed to minimize the value to the shareholder, duh!
