Just saw The Darjeeling Limited

All films that I love. To me that is quite a long line of successful films and I am eagerly awaiting the next one. I don't see what is "overboard" about my comment at all.

Believe it or not, a film's success is not measure solely whether you "love" it.

For example, The Life Aquatic was not successful.

I'm sorry, I did not realize that a movie had to meet your definition of success for me to enjoy it.

No apologies needed.

TLA had neither criticial nor box-office success. And it doesn't have to meet "my" definition of anything for you to enjoy. But that's not the issue, is it?

i read somewhere that Wes Anderson wrote the film mainly as an excuse to film a movie on location in India. i haven't seen the movie, but that's not a good start.

kinda like Ocean's 12. that movie was an excuse for the cast and crew to be paid to travel around europe. cool locations, but no substance at all.

Bottle Rocket and Rushmore were great.

Everything else has been progressively terrible.

These threads always has someone who tries to find someway to say "anyone who doesn't get WA is dumb". Its the most laughable arguement.
