Just saw The Darjeeling Limited

I did a search, but the search function here sucks. Anyway, what a movie. I loved it. There was never a moment where I was bored or not paying attention.

I think for someone to "get" this movie entirely, one needs to have those kind of relationships in one's life. I'm mainly talking about the brothers and how they obviously love each other, with humorous interactions to which one can relate to their own lives.

I also think you need a bit of a "free spirit" and a traveling mind to truly appreciate it.

A great movie. It’s another in the long line of Wes Anderson's successes.

This is a film I have on the list to watch, thanks for the good review.

I never have a problem with the search feature. you have to be smarter than the search I suppose.

Its another in the long line of Wes Anderson's successes.

I like most of his stuff but let's not go overboard.

Saw it in the theater. The short starring Jason Schwartzman and Natalie Portman was pretty good too.

I just saw this on Monday on my way out to LA. I loved it. Right up there with my favorite WA movies.

I love the camera work he does wth the panning between scene frames.

My wife and I watched this movie on Friday night and all I can say is I now know why Owen tried to off himself.....

He saw himself in this film.

That movie sucked.
Bigtime !

c'mon, do you not know to put SPOILER ALERT and then a bunch of returns so people don't walk into it? Oh well, I guess I will move this movie down a few notches on when to watch it. May you become infertile or something. Stub a toe, get a hangnail. Something dire like that.

I'm very suspicious of people who don't like this movie. Hm...maybe it's just too much intellectual-wise for everyone to enjoy it.

Drag, mind giving reason why it sucked big time?

I am not talking about Owen trying to off himself in the movie.....I am talking about in real life. He supposedly attempted suicide a few months after making this total piece of crap.

And if you were not bored watching this **** you are the most easily amused human being I have ever known.

Hard to put into words but.....

I just thought it was disjointed and lacked substance.
I just felt like I was waiting for "something" and it never came.
I also thought the banter between the brothers was too forced.

I can't really put my finger on it but I expected a lot more and I just did not feel like it ever delivered anything.
It was certainly quirky but I just thought it was "empty".

Did you think Broken Flowers, Lost in Translation, Royal Tenembaums, Life Aquatic, or Razor's Edge suck?

Nivek - how dare you toss Lost in Translation in with Wes Anderson's ****. I really, REALLY liked LIT. I hate everything about Wes Anderson.

I have not seen this movie but I am fairly certain I would hate it. I have not remotely liked any WA movie. Ok, maybe Royal Tenenbaums didn't make me want to scratch my eyes out, but most of his other stuff does.

I don't think his stuff is even remotely intellectual. It's just flat suck.

To tell you the truth, I didn't read the credits on any of these films. I like movies because they entertain me. I could watch Roadhouse and LIT back to back and be entertained.

I was just asking if he liked these movies or thought they sucked, and to see if there was a pattern for a type of film. I didnt really offer a good sampling though.

I really liked the movie, but obviously it's not one that everyone will appreciate. I saw it with five people - three of whom liked it and two thought it sucked.

Bottle Rocket (great)
Rushmore (enjoyed it)
The Royal Tenenbaums (enjoyed it)
The Life Aquatic (sucked)
The Darjeeling Limited (sucked)
