Sweet! Good choice.

As one who left Okie Land for the great state of Texas for greater prosperity & opportunity, I can unequivically say... Josh you just made the best decision of your life. Welcome home!

Congrats on the pickup. Turner is a really good player.

And no, Demarco Cobbs was not the top player in OK last year. He was #3, behind Barnett (Arky) and Haywood (OU).

And yes, it depends on which silly list one looks at. Pretty insane to assume one list is more accurate. First, let's see if any of them do anything to even be on a list...

Congrats Josh! Great decision BTW.

Oh, and this thread title needs to be changed to:

Josh Turner !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOOK 'EM,

congrats. he was our top target, but he was never an "OU" kid. he liked us, but he stated last week on my pay site that miami was always his number one (since being a big fan as a kid) and texas and miami were tied at number one. he is a pretty small guy. obviously everyone thinks he can put on enough size to matter.

anyway, i know we've got the number one player in texas before. but, it is real hard to get used to the other way around.

however, josh has ALWAYS been up front about his interest in other programs, add in the fact that he has good grades, and it is hard not to wish him luck. although i do hope to see him got flattened by our kickoff team in the near future. just for fun.

and this just adds to a long line of millwood athletes that just don't care about OU. it is to the point that is very much seems built in the culture there.... to get out of OKC. and to be honest, if i lived in the area the millwood kids do, getting as far away as possible would be my priority number one.

If the kid's got the gumption to try to get his hands on some of Mad Dog's cheesecake, I'll assert he's already big enough.

notreally do y ou think part of Oklahoma's problem is starting to get local kids in Oklahoma? For years they have recruited heavily in Texas and other states and not too much in their own state. This can't sit too well with in state coaches and I am sure there is talent in Oklahoma. Maybe most of them probably go to Tulsa and Oklahoma State. Now maybe some of them are going out of state much to Oklahoma's chagrin. This is just for friendly discussion for different viewpoints.

i would assume mad dog's cheesecake would be an invitation only type deal. Since Josh is by all accts a very bright young man--academics in order and wants the hell out OK!--I'm sure he would wait for the appropriate invitation!
