It's almost that time of year when we used to gather at his house after the OU game. I remember when lots of us would stay there Friday night after heading uptown when that was still allowed. Then we would get up at the crack of dawn to use that one shower and eat those breakfast tacos he would get. Then head for the fair and that first beer and a Fletchers. I really miss that!

I had the privilige to travel with Jose for several trips for baseball and football. I will never forget those times or Jose!

His funeral was just like he would have liked it to be and he would have called us aholes for crying at it. He was one of the few people that could call you that and it would make you smile.
