Good thing we played and beat Bama or we would definitely be on the outside looking in. In the end, Klatt was spot on. No way they were going to leave Bama/sec out and the committee then had to put Texas in and ahead of Bama. Sucks for FSU, we’ve been there done that, even played Tosu in the bowl game.

Yep we have been screwed before in 2008.

I knew once Bama beat GA , UT was probably in.
Michigan /Washinton …in.

But Bama beat the #1 team and is the SEC champ in one swoop. They’re in.
Texas beat the SEC Championship… is the B12 Conference Champion- so no way the committee could justify Texas as out.

If 2008 taught us anything its that you never put your faith in actual head to head

We might’ve gotten screwed in 2008, but it wasn’t a “head to head” situation. It was a three way.

If Texas had gone to the CCG, Texas Texh would’ve had the same argument — they beat us head to head. And if Tech had advanced, the argument would’ve belonged to OU.

This year was different. We beat Bama. There was no way around that. Almost nobody thought there was any chance Bama would be picked over Texas, and they weren’t.
