J Brown

PG has always been one of the primary options scoring-wise for our teams. T.J. was the first option down the stretch because he needed to be, then Gibson was the man. D.J. took over after that for two years (though he was option two since KD was there the first year) and A.J. played PG when we needed points this year...UT is very predicated around the scoring PG, just not last year.

Mason and Balbay cannot play together on the court. Ever again. We've seen what this brings us. It will be curious to see how Barnes handles this next season.

You simply CANNOT have a shooting guard that is no outside threat, no matter what else he brings to the table. Point guard is debatable.

Word is circulating that J'Covan may be enrolled in summer class starting next week.

Aaron Ross's situation was a fluke that should have been corrected when he was a sophomore in high school. Brown's situation is much, much different, and not in a good way.

Horns11, are you saying that there's still a big hurdle to clear for J'Covan, or maybe even no chance of clearing?

My opinion, which is soundly based on wild speculation and an ability to pull declarative statements out of my bunghole, is that J'Covan eventually makes it through the clearinghouse, but not by the 9th of June.

I can tell you for a fact, that our own coaching staff isn't sure what's going to happen. I do know that if he clears, it could give us a lot of depth and versatility in the backcourt

AI wasn't asked to play PG in Detroit. that was Stuckey. and that's the main reason his productivity went down -- they took the ball out of his hands.

I'd love for J'Covan to get in...but I do worry what might happen with scholarship #'s.

Well...Is he in Austin this week? I highly doubt it. His dad is truly is a piece of work, and that has rubbed off on J'covan in a bad way. While I am hoping for the best, it just seems very unlikely. I'm from the Port Arthur area, and everyone I speak with that knows him says he hasn't done anything to suddenly qualify. But maybe they are all wrong.

A game of musical chairs has been set up in the practice facility. The athletic department decided having two poisoned goblets at the dining table was a bit much.
