It's the Alamo Bowl

It’s a good bowl that I have tickets for, it’s a two hour drive in on I 37 and I am a lot happier about our destination than the Aggies are about theirs.

maybe we get the Buff’s band to play The Eyes?

Aggies are going to the Orange Bowl for a major bowl, and while it's not the college playoffs (nor should they be going), it's a better result than what Texas has to show for the season.

The reality is that for the 2020 season Aggy was (is) a better team that was better coached. They were not a more talented team.

While I cannot stand Jimbo, I doubt that he would have allowed the crap that Herman “embraced” in the summer.

Ask the aggots how happy they are right now. They are more deserving than the Domers by a good stretch. They are the college football version of Rodney Daingerfield. And they hate it.
We just had a bad year.

Your record is your talent level. I've heard for about 25 years how talented Texas is year after year. Then they lose to Kansas, and would have lost last year to Kansas save for a long FG at the end of the game. Or lose to a pitiful TT team this year save for a series of improbable events.

Texas is as talented as their 6-3 record shows.

They had delusions of grandeur, as they've had forever, but once the sting goes away about not being selected to the playoffs, they have a major bowl to go to, and a 1 loss season to defend.

Texas has had bad years since about 2009.

Have to disagree. It’s all about coaching. This was a 9-0 team coached down to a (lucky) 6-3 record.

We'll have to disagree about this.

RB's were missing men in all key games.

OL was slow and unable to keep Sam from having about 1.5 seconds in the pocket before he was running for his life.

WR's often gave up on routes.

Few impact players on defense - and could rarely get a stop when it was needed (OSU is the only one that comes to mind - W VA should have been 1st and goal at the 1 after the safety tackled their WR in the end zone).

I know we have talent such that the only players with more talent than our currently talented ones are the incoming players who have even more talent! But it doesn't translate into actually winning games. Herman's isn't a great coach, but these are not very good players either. How many made the B12 1st team? 2? ISU had far more players in that listing than Texas.

Some of that is player development - but not all. Let's face the facts and realize that these are not very good players, as well as being poorly coached.

I'll be surprised if CU sends the band. The school is broke and has been since the day after they put Hoffman in control. Her famous quote right after she fired Gary Barnett, "What do you mean we owe him $10 million? We don't have that kind of money"

They couldn't get any donor to cough up $300,000 for a practice bubble.

The University of Colorado and The State of Colorado are infamous for doing things, signing contracts only to find out they have no funds to pay for it. Not that they don't have ENOUGH, that they don't have ANY!

I would bet that Ralphie doesn't come.

Knowing their administration, the team hotel is probably the Motel 6 on Pleasanton Hwy.

Nah, just driving all night to San Antonio for the game, then back on the bus afterwards for the drive back! They'll claim it's to limit Wuhan Virus exposure.

Seems like a good bet for Texas. He-Man's done nothing during his 4 regular season's to speak of, but does have a good bowl record with 2 good wins. I'd take that bet.

But given what has gone on the last 3 weeks will he be in it? He also only has 9 days to prepare instead of 3-4 weeks.

Actually think A&M is better than ND. ND beating Clemson is a huge *. Their win over Florida is much better than anything ND has.

I agree that the Aggies should be in, BUT I would much rather watch Alabama destroy an undeserving ND, than Clemson destroy A&M.

The difference between Colorado and UNC ain’t that much. Aggies got screwed but then again they deserve it. Everybody around the country must hate ATM.

Don’t guess I’ll see Ehrlingers last game in person. Bit steep for me since wife refuses to sit up top. Didn’t pay this much for the other bowls (missed the Sugar).
