Per several pay sites... and no longer considering Texas! Is said to be visiting Oregon, TCU & Cal! Now Cal is the head-scratcher...

not trying to sound homer-ish, but bralon is going to be tough to pry given his relationship with davis/williams.

i think the horns will likely go after daje johnson or corey coleman

Coleman, Brooks or Johnson... but you never know Joe! After all, this is football recruiting... it's January and Addison is committed to the ATM. Need I say more??? Texas is good for flipping one or two of your commits each year.

Is this our first this year? If so we've had a good run so far, and we swiched at least 1 as well.

Hilarious...

Joe...
Over on the 'Cosm, Jesus is saying that both Addison & Williams are taking visits! Nothing to Texas yet... but with will keep you posted.

22 Horn - exactly. If you don't want to come, don't come. And if you don't want to give info, that's fine, too. Either he's been misquoted somewhere or he looks like a flake.

It's always disappointing when we lose a recruit, but if their heart isn't at Texas, it's better (for everybody's sake) to turn that card over sooner than later. If we can land either DGB or Wallace, it will be a big net gain.

No Wallace (or better said no QB who can throw further than 15 yards) so no DGB (even if he was actually considering Texas).

After his comments all week unfortunately Johnson is now subject to the Mack curse.

Julio Jones didn't seem to have a problem making the NFL with a power running game and average QB. I think this has more to do with certain people badmouthing the program, despite the fact that they're the exact reason it should be badmouthed.

So much for the Skyline pipeline... We still have a topnotch class coming in, and even if we whiff on DGB and Edwards, there is some talent out there that we might grab before national signing day.

We have a tendency to make too much of a fuss about recruits both ways. All of us have seen four and five stars not pan out (ie. Mizzou's newest transfer) and as far as I can tell, the world hasn't ended when one backs out of his UT commitment.

Johnson would have been a nice part of the incoming class, but the keys to that class are still committed. The sky's where it always was this morning.

I think the fact he was taking other visits didn't sit well with Mack and he cut him loose.

De-commits happen all the time. These are 17-18 olds here and they change their minds daily. I know I did. If TJ wasn't 100% committed to Texas, he needs to look around. We don't need guys who really don't want to be here. It's possible he looks around and after checking his options, he's 100% sold on Texas. If that's the case, he better hope his spot wasn't taken. We need guys who are all in, not mercenaries.

Could it be that he is involved with a street agent named Baron Flenory Jr.? Check out his FB page...

Exactly. Flenory is another Willie Lyles. Lyles worked Houston, Flenory works Dallas.

Flenory played for Kelly at New Hampshire, and he gets regular payments from Oregon for "scouting services" ($7500 from Oregon in 2010) -- the reality is he's getting paid to funnel recruits to Oregon.

Johnson decommitted from us because Oregon bought him.

You can't blame him. We have shown zero ability to complete passes downfield for 2 straight years.
